If the club are in such dire straights, as many posts would have us all believe. is it possible taking into account how much he loves our club. And yet the apparent complete lack of support upstairs, that chris decides going somewhere else may be better for his career. Could we as fans really blame him?..for me not being in the know, I would not be surprised if this was to happen.... think it would be a disaster actually!!!.

Obviously one with a lack of oxygen!
Ignore
In fact i think it would have to be an offer he couldn't refuse.
This or he is pushed so far he feels he has no option. No sign in Chris's body language or demeanour that I can see thank goodness.
I had hoped it would be sept or october before we discussed this
Good point well made imo No he wouldnt
But he very well could based on the lack of opportinity to improve
His stock would only rise with a top half finish this season with no money to spend or with a team of freebies and wise loans with the added injection of a few youth players so for this reason i think he would stay
I love the man but football os a ruthless horrible place and scp knows that and sometimes you jump if the right opportunity arises as it may never come rd twice
I don't exactly see the issue with this topic either; it's quite clear what it's going to be about before you click on the title. I'm also going to assume I'm not the only one who's pondered this before.
I know if I was going in to work everyday and working with a lack of resources - yet I was being expected to compete with rivals who had a lot more than me, rivals who may even have a possible job for me... I'd probably be having words with myself.
But there are still positive signs coming out I think; the staff doing their UEFA License qualifications together etc.
Financial Fair Play has kicked in now, and clubs have to live within their means.
So, if the club wanted a large transfer budget they could do it by selling players with a substantial cash value, like Solly, or substantially increase season ticket prices.
And how would supporters react to that?
Priority MUST now come with the development of academy players, as this is one of the aspects of a football club that is NOT covered by FFP.
