I was having this debate at work and there were mixed views a few said the Black shirt (but i think that people only say this because of the Arsenal game) i prefer the Ecru shirt from 1998-99

    Odd as it sounds i like the Viglen white/green/puple one. I also liked the famous Yellow banana one.

    Best away shirt for me was the white quaser sao paulo effort with the red and black hoop. That was a class shirt.

    I have 2 match shirts of that ecru kit.
    I promised them to Henry Irving to raise money as auction lots but haven't got them to him (totally through my idleness).
    Don't think they'd raise much as they are redfern and lisbies shirts, but will make more of an effort to get them to HI seeing as some see that as their fav away kit.

    Agree but any white shirt (like the new one) is "proper" Charlton. See 1947 for proof.

    Agree this was the best shirt, with honoury mentions to the Ecru and Blue (with black sash) Woolwich shirts

    Seems I'm alone in this, but ecru = beige. Abomination of a shirt.

    Agree with Henry, white is right,although blue/black stripes were classy.
