For those that want to find him it's not difficult google 192.com type in Steven jones Langdon hills, off his football teams website it says his misses Tina is secretary so on the results that come up look for the one that says other occupants and you will see Tina Stevens, so you know which one it is, pay the couple of quid, bobs your uncle fan us your aunt it will give you his address phone number etc.
National press? It's Charlton Athletic not Liverpool.
Smiffyboy...."fan us your aunt"? Like that...
Also do we know how many people have not received goods. And I hope the person who bought Clive's goods paid directly to Clive or was it to Steve as flipping hate to think what percentage he took from that. all a bit of a mess.
how about standing outside with a sign saying "Every Little Helps...certainly in the case of the ex-professional footballer who works inside, eh Mr Jones".
might get the attention needed without resorting to violence.
I really doubt it's going to end up with violence. Very easy to say "if it was me I'd go down tooled up/I'd fill him in" but in reality I reckon a fairly recently former professional footballer would fill in most keyboard warriors in real life. Realistic options are the new shopper or the police, either way you'd probably have to gauge the extent of the (aledged) "fraud" first, couple of people on here are down a couple of hundred but there could be more out there who don't look at CL who are similarly affected.
Lets just set out a few facts so that the story is clear:
- People began making online memorabilia purchases from the beginning of February - The event was on the 2nd March, more money was taken in person on the night for memorabilia orders - March 16th, people start complaining that purchases they had made over a month ago had not turned up, and repeated emails to Steve Speroni (Jones' mate and co-organiser) were getting ignored - March 22nd, more people start complaining about not receiving goods, not getting replies - March 23rd, Steve Speroni replies to one saying nothing to do with me, contact Steve Jones - April 1st, I provide a few people on here with Steve Jones email address i know he uses, as he recently used it to correspond with CL - April 4th, after 3 emails to Steve Speroni, someone on here gets a refund and SS says there are no more pictures. Those who purchased things on the night and in auctions still have had no response and out of pocket for in some cases three figure sums - April 4th, Someone with excellent club connections and who knows Steve personally begins trying to speak to Steve on the phone and leaving him messages but gets no replies - April 20th, Person above tries again to contact Steve, but once again doesn't get a response. - May 10th, 10 weeks after cash was taken on the night, and 3-months from when online payments were taken, some people still haven't been contacted, refunded or seen their goods, and Steve hasn't replied to any emails or phonecalls.
Why are people so keen on others dishing out street justice or making a scene at his employers? Those that have been promised stuff by him but are still waiting have perfectly legit avenues to pursue which won't result in them getting nicked themselves and/or impact on any possible criminal or civil cases.
Given the apparent opportunities he's had to sort it out it sounds like it's time to let the appropriate authorities know is what I'm saying.
Have you sent a final email saying that if he doesn't respond by a certain time on a certain day then you will have no option but to involve the police?

Can I just add
April 20th - Former team mate of Jones (not Clive) leaves phones message for him but gets no response
I agree with the view that the appropriate authorities should be involved now. Threatening him or actually assaulting him puts YOU on the wrong side of the law. Also given the way he's been ignoring everyone, I very much doubt if involving the News Shopper will bother him - just something else for him to ignore.
Can I just add that I have tried calling Steve a few times but to no avail. He also owes me some stuff that arranged at a previous signing. He used to answer calls.
Find out when it's his kids team presentation, turn up and cause a scene best way to get what u want. I did this in Dfs on a bank holiday when there at there busiest about a problem they were not resolving, got a brand new, better sofa, £200 compensation, if I stopped shouting, which I duly did.
