I should have put a winkey-smiley thing afterwards (and I can completely understand if anyone speaking at the meetings doesn't want what they say put on the internet), so better late than never...here's one
When asked by me "Will we have heard of the new sponsor?" He said "I hadn't but you will have". Not sure if he was suggesting that I personally would know or just we as fans would but I think that rules out a household name.
That's intriguing, suggesting it must be a company with a (relatively) youthful customer base perhaps? Or if he was being specific, one of Henry's relatives.
Mentioned that one of the suits that went out to Vegas came back and said what a great togetherness the squad has (including Hamer). Said that wherever they went they went all together and are a great close knit bunch.
Great to hear, but might make it a bit more difficult for new signings integrating? New season, new challenges...
Thanks so much for the reports - really appreciated by those of us who can't get there.
I doubt it will be a problem for new signings- we had new signings (on loan) during last season who seemed to integrate fine. It's probably about getting the right characters in which was always a Curbishley trait and I'm sur ethe same can be said of Sir Chris.
. He's happy with his currentl level of involvement (10% ownership and putting 10% of funding in PA)
10% in PA - does that mean he is committed to putting in 10% of the shortfall per annum. That is an interesting comment if that is what it means. It underlines the investment will be fairly modest and not mega
With hindsight Richard's comment on the night about the board needing to decide the size of budget, big or small, as soon as possible seems a lot more significant.
