That was my attempt at little sarcastic humour! usually when we are linked with a player, people can't wait to say how useless they are and what a terrible decision it is to sign them! perhaps a times are changing!
Looking at his wikipedia, he looks a top buy. Had enough for Bolton to make a loan offer and has played a lot of games in the top two divisions of Spanish football. The only problem may be that he can't get used to the physicality of the football league.
I would be quite excited by this signing and I agree it probably means the end for Therry and Jose.Add Rowlands or Rae to the mix and our options at cm look very strong.I particularly like the fact that Hollands and Jacko are left footers which adds to our balance.
I'd like this to happen, too. Haven't seen much of him, but he's got Premier League experience, and has a good number of games under his belt. Being the brother of Xabi can't be a bad thing either. Though obviously footballing relatives doesn't necessarily mean they're anywhere near as good; Luke Young/Neil Young. Also, he's 31, not 37, so has experience but isn't reaching the last season of his career.
It's all becoming clear. Charlton have been taken over by a billionaire mad scientist based in a remote but heavily guarded Caribbean island who is planning to genetically clone footballers DNA. Why else would Keith, father of Gavin, be brought out of retirement. Why else would we sign Bradley Pritchard, an unknown player but who has a science degree.
The world must be told.
We have to stop him now before he builds a team of GMPs (Genitically Modified Players) who will sweep all before them winning trophy after trophy with effortless ease.
On seconds thoughts, maybe lets keep that under our hats for a few years.

I can think of many reasons
Not all Charlton fans would like him
He might not be any good
He might be too good
We might be able to buy someone better ie Messi
He might go to dinner at the OXO
He might have driven through Croydon/ New cross etc
He's not a Charlton type of player
He might be lazy
I think it's better if we don't sign anyone
Sorrie guys! I cummitted the wurst of ull charlton life sins!!! bad grammar/Splleing
Forgive me pleese
Alonso over Jose... All day every day.
Mikel Alonso - Brother of Xabi
Dave Martin - Brother of Lee
