What's Hailsham like? (thinking of moving)

edited June 2011 in Not Sports Related
Hi,

I'm a dad of 3 children aged 4-9. I'm thinking of moving to Hailsham but I've read some bad comments about it online.

Is it a bad place or is it simply a case of every town having its bad areas?

Also, there is only one senior school there - whats it like?

I'd be really grateful for some advice,

thanks

- Graham

  • Don't know Hailsham too well but Stone Cross, Polegate, West Ham areas are nice.
  • My brother in law moved from plumstead to there about 4-5 years ago and loves it would never come back
  • My Mum and Dad are in Wannock, which is near Polegate and they love it. I don't know Hailsham too well but the area is beautiful. Are you choosing Hailsham for a reason or can you live within a 10 mile radius?

    * I can live within about a 10 mile radius, it's about house prices really. There are some houses in Hailsham that would be ideal - as long as the area's okay.

    *Thanks for your replies*
