According to Fans Fc website we have had a bid turned down for Tonge. Even if it is true I cannot see one of this league's biggest clubs selling one of their best players to a rival

I'm not sure why we'd want another central midfielder - we have a quality one in Semedo and possibly Racon, of whom less has been seen and also Andy Reid to come back. I don't think Holland is better than these but Pards seems to disagree,so why buy another to sit on the bench. We also have the exiting prospect of Harry Arter in the background as well as the kid at Barnet, Palace have had a 15yo playing for some time so we could try Jonjo Shelvey as well.

Better a big pacy defender (Gibbs?) and a left-footed winger who can deliver.
