anyone going by train and changing at Leeds or Doncaster .. Northern Rail staff are having a 'day of action' on 15th Sept .. translate to mean a day of INaction/go even slower than usual/grind to a complete stop
  • Is that general sale??

When Southend tickets went on sale they announced the stages before they went on sale, based on that link they are straight in general sale

1,500 tickets for Southend and it goes on sale in 3 stages

631 tickets for Bradford and straight on general sale.

Whats the point in doing the points system if its not used

You only use the points system when the game will sell out. This is not the case here

You dont think we will sell 600 tickets.

I think its more likely Bradfords 600 tickets would sell out than Southends 1,500

Just look for the choo choo going via Burnley.....
  • There's definitely a curse on our club. This apparent constant disruption of away travel reminds me of our short stay at Upton Park when the Blackwall Tunnel seemed to be down to one bore for maintenance every sodding home game

Cheers Clive, very handy with my train getting into Leeds at 09.15
  • If Northern rail use this emergency timetable, this is the emergency timetable between Bradford Forster Square /Leeds.

This is the notice, which seems to affect every Saturday for 6 weeks. I bet the Bradford fans are hacked off about it too!

And much appreciated it was :+1: . I just was trying to be even handed dishing them out plus I did escort you safely to the ground in case somebody tried to mug you  .
  • Little update
Looking at 20-25 quid for private cab.
Bradford mate text Me yesterday saying it's causing mayhem .
Trains that are running have been about 1 every 2 hours.
  • If it helps anyone there are express buses between Leeds and Bradford which hardly stop en route and take roughly the same time as a car
  • Just had a look and 504 seats left out of the 631! The strike action is really annoying

  • 5 of us going, six seater cab will do the job I guess, what a pain in the arse.

Plenty of buses that run between Leeds-Bradford too and you can walk to both Bradford stations from the ground.

Info on train strikes here: https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/strike

You lot have it easy down there with Southeastern, trust me.
