CAFC cares for our planet

So after the revelation that the plastic bottles and light switch offs are down to the ownership's green credentials what other eco friendly acts have the club been undertaking?

- The reason the kits are delayed is because they are being woven from renewable hemp sourced locally from plumstead common

- The takeover is taking so long because the Aussie's need to sail to each meeting from down under to reduce the carbon footprint that a flight would leave

Any others?

It's a shame you can't heat the pitch using recycled bullshit, we could use some of those club statements.
  • First-team squad cut to 16 to reduce detergent use and laundry bills.
  • Home gates shrunk to minimise the carbon footprint of travelling supporters.
  • Under-soil heating pipes not connected to a boiler to reduce carbon emissions and avoid contributing to an over-heating planet.
  • Lack of signings is due to Roland (with the assistance of @Stevelamb ) adopting a new plant-based approach and is currently growing a goalkeeper, defender and a striker in a greenhouse in Bruges.

What are you trying to say?
  • As part of its 'Reds Go Green' campaign, the club are delighted to announce that footballs will no longer be used for training or match days due to their high polyvinyl chloride content.
A spokesman said, 'This decision is further proof of the club's commitment to utilising sustainable products to minimise negative enviromental impact. We are currently looking at non-polymer sustainable, organic alternatives, like melons and that. '
  • Or maybe even leather?

Oh wait! Didn't we have a long thread on here about the animal product content of the new fivers?
