    This has taught me that
    1. I didn’t know Steve Wright was still with us
    2. I assume I’m maybe too old to know who Stephen Nolan is

I had no Idea who Nolan was either.

Quick google search he is a Northern Irish Radio Presenter

Just a wild guess here but Lineker and Shearer appear in an awful lot of English football coverage outside of the UK, eg Al Jazeera, etc.

Now I wonder if thats BBC sport coverage being outsourced? its funny seeing Lineker with Shearer and Jamie Redknapp on the same show!

He used to be one of the Nolan sisters, until the op.
Makes sense, so did I but they always used to make me stand at the back and not sing so I left for Milli Vanilli instead

Nolan is a boring know all from Ooolster who used to be an evening regular on R5 Live .. 4 nights a week. He's not heard so often now thank the lord, I cannot stand the sound of his pebbles in the mouth voice, even worse that Colin Murray … He also has a daytime N Ire TV show .. he must weigh in at about 30 stone .. I remember a TV show when he said 'I'm overweight because .. ' and Katie Hopkins piped up 'because you're lazy and eat too much !' .. hahahaha .. don't you just love ol Kate lol

No women on the list ? .. Winkleman ?, Barker ? .. paid into their company from a phantom BBC 'production company' ?.. I wonder

Stephen Nolan is a know nothing, ignorant, thick twat. Somehow he is on 5Live Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Quite interesting that the majority of those names do the majority of their BBC work on radio. I guess the big TV stars work for production companies.

I assume Norton's salary is for radio and things like Eurovision, as his chat show is made by his production company (now owned by ITV!) so he won't get a salary from the BBC for that

That salary is just for appearing on the BBC. Any appearances on Al Jazeera, BT Sport etc will be paid directly by them

Apparently this list doesn't include anyone paid by BBC Studios, the production company (Strictly, Doctor Who etc) which makes it a bit misleading

Crazy giving Shearer that kind of money. He could disappear altogether and I wouldn't miss him.

Yes and they probably paid Tracy Ullman an obscene amount for that "comedy" show she does.

400k for Alan Shearer's tedious opinions? Now I'm going to be angry as well as bored when I have to listen to him state the bleeding obvious.

Ho does Huw Edwards command that kind of money as well? He reads an auto-cue on the news, not exactly a specialist skill set and who watches the news because of the person reading it?

Can't believe Clare Balding not on there. Is she no longer on Beeb?

Its not like some of them even work every day or all year !

There's some genuine weirdness in that list.

The utterly hopeless (and radio only?) Vanessa Feltz in the £330-340k bracket!!!! Thus pulling in more than Nick Robinson - £250-260k, Laura Kuenssberg, Emily Maitlis or Dan Walker - all in the £220-230k bracket. WTF?!

Then there's Sue Barker and John McEnroe both in the £190-200k bracket (for two weeks work I guess) both getting more than Clare Balding and Fiona Bruce £180-190k or Katya Adler £170-180k. How does that work?

Regarding Robinson and Kuenssberg - how come the old political editor (now pretty much only on radio) is getting more than the current political editor?
