Anthony Joshua

Just seen he has got himself in alot of trouble with women after he done an interview

I don’t think I’m that strict with Joseph, I don’t know why,’ he said.’But with my niece I’m strict. I think it is because she is older, but also he’s a boy – he’s going to be a man’s man, he’ll want to spread his wings, be a Jack-the-lad, build his character.’

But I am sure there are things I will be strict about. But with my niece, there is none of that Jack-the-lad nonsense for her!’

‘My view is you have to be a good woman, respectful, one day you will be someone’s wife, you have to learn family morals… what it is to be a good woman.’

Comments

  • Although the interview was from 2017 so no idea why it has suddenly wound everyone up
  • Don’t see any issue with what he said anyway. Sounds like common sense.

In other news, it’s forecast to Snow this week.

Really? why can't his niece spread her wings and build her character and why is it not just as important that his nephew is a good man, respectful and a good husband?

I like Joshua but these are stupid comments, obviously, a lot of people still think like this.
  • Crystal meth- Don't try this at home kids!
  • He should call them out as racists. It would be a laugh to see the twitter witch finders having the tables turned on them.
  • He’s a knob. Will slowly show his true colours and no amount of PR specialist will be able to cover it.

    I hope Fury smashes him.

......the guy who has already shown his true colours?!?

    Who Fury?

Yeah another knob but this whole fake persona that Joshua has, ‘the good guy’ act, annoys me.

    Absolute nonsense.

That's at least a little fucked up. Surely it's more important to teach boys to grow into respectful men? Why is it only women who need to be 'good' and respectful? Why is the most important aspect of how she's raised, in terms of her one day being someone's wife?

I have a son and a daughter. In terms of how society is right now, with outdated attitudes like above... I'll teach my son to respect women. I'll teach my daughter to respect herself.

I have sons and taught them both to respect everyone (male and female), including themselves. If I had daughters I would do exactly the same.

Joshua's opinion on this are almost exactly the opposite of mine.

I find it strange that anyone would think that Joshua was the knob and not Fury.

You’ve just blatantly ignored my other comment then.
  • We are talking about blokes whose job is basically to club the other bloke into submission.

I love boxing as pretty much the ultimate sport (for me) - but for the life of me cannot see why people would look to these guys for any sort of moral guidance or otherwise be offended by anything they say.

True, it’s just a job. Grass grows, birds fly, waves pound the sand. They beat people up.

  • I’ll never understand why people care for celebrities opinions on anything. Joshua is a boxer whose been very carefully managed and made to seem like he’s got this humble, almost perfect persona. Shock it comes to light that a human being isn’t perfect.
  • Really shocked how much publicity this has got but his comments on blacks being the superior race was hardly reported by any press at all.
  • People have got to realise these people in the public eye are rarely as they seem.
It’s all a persona to get as much money as possible.
He plays the bad boy turned into the boy next door type to appeal to the masses. That appeals to corporate types which means he gets the big bucks.

Gary Lineker played the nice guy routine to great effect but was known as a bit of a womanising shit in real life but that is not what the public sees.

Katie Hopkins posts deliberately provocative stuff on twitter to get reactions and earn money as a columnist - every post and retweet is pound signs in her eyes.

Roland..... err, I will leave it there for now.
  • And this is close to his statement about him being part of the 'superior race' completely agree with valleygary

I'm heading over to Maidstone to watch the AJ Parker fight anyone know which is the best pub(s) to go to watch it, cheers

Ps - please say it's not the feathers!!
  • There certainly seems to be a very different person under the PR mask

Oh, I had not read this at all well. That last paragraph, I had t sen at all and is really bad but also frames the two previous ones.

It is in total, complete bollocks.
