Exactly what I stated the other day before we knew where she was landing. In terms of profits and loss, CAFC did better than many clubs financially under her reign of terror due to selling players for nice profits. And many (most?) owners of clubs below the PL care more about not losing a lot of money than they do winning. Her move to an owner like this makes total sense to me. I bet she actually had more than one offer to choose from.

All player profits both before these results and after came from youth team players already at the club and from a setup already present: JBG aside. A consistent failure in strategy resulted in unplanned loading of veteran players mid-season three times. Running a small squad into disaster 2014/15, but not altering strategy based on research: albeitoroginal ideas based around European 38 game seasons, whereby grade school research could show you squad size needed.
Compare that to Birmingham at that time run on a similar budget, but with a more coherent strategy on players needed or Brentford who analyse players on a variety of aspects not just youtube reputations.
KM successfully supported an unsuccessful strategy which she had no power to influence. Sheffield Wednesday specifically pursued a strategy to have two experienced players per position. Their acquisitions seemed too reliant on big waged veterans and a lack of energetic young players. Lord help them if they need to synergise different strategies and pursue a more creative player acquisition mo with KM. You'd have to be a fool to employ KM to implement change...... Unless their player acquisition is run by a re-modelled genius setup.... Unlikely.

You can argue that this was offset by 16/17 transfer income but that won’t affect the operating loss. The players can only be sold once.
