Legend in these parts, in every sense of the word - RIP

  • RIP

Probably the only French "rock star" I know apart from Plastic Bertrand.

There's also Daft Punk and Jean-Michel Jarre, but I'd better not turn this into a famous French musicians thread.

RIP Johnny, even though I thought you'd died years ago!

You have to bare in mind there aren't many famous Belgians, apart form Captain Haddock andTinTin.
(I think Captain Haddock had dual nationality)

He was completely plastic ... it turned out he didn't sing himself :)

  • Johnny Halliday was superb in L'Homme Du Train. Rip.

Sad news, one of my abiding memories of holidays in France was being amazed not only at his (to me) inexplicable popularity, but also his longevity and ability to reinvent himself. RIP.

Most worrying, however, @i_b_b_o_r_g is that he was a legend in your parts....

You must wear the same kind of trousers as the Druze and MC Hammer.
