I know, it’s so cruel to reduce a superb catalogue down to 5.

On another day and another mood, I could have very easily chosen an alternative 5
  • Fagen and Becker such brilliant songwriters, their volume of work is excellent. love em.

For me, in no particular order:-

    FM
Hey 19 (the opening note on the Strat, is just quality)
Peg (they roped in Michael MacDonald on BVs and its a joy to listen to)
    Haitian Divorce
    Ricky Don't Lose That Number.

And sold out, wonder if it was before Becker’s sad passing:(
  • It sold out before Becker died.

Yep, can confirm this, as I tried to get tickets before he died.

As a kid I remember 'All Around my Hat' and I loved it.

you'll find that was Steeleye Span ((:>) .. I bought that album for my then girlfriend .. and had 'Good Lovin' (remember the 'Lovin Spoonful') for weeks afterwards ..

EDIT .. NO .. the Young Rascals, later just The Rascals had the hit with Good Lovin' .. my memory gets worse and worse
  • What a great band they were/are. Saw them many years ago and I don't think any one of them played a single wrong note the whole evening.

Ask me any day or any hour of any day and my list would be different, but today, at this hour it's:

    Do it Again
    Reelin' in the Years
    Ricki Don't Loose That Number
    My Old School
    Any Major Dude

I remember as a teenager trying to play their stuff on my Woolworths guitar - no chance. Sadly, that is still the case (although now I can't play their stuff on much more expensive guitars!).

Watched 'Show biz kids' of the live concert link posted here, with Michael McDonald as guest vocalist. It was tight as...
Same as 2007 and 2011 the two times I saw them in Perth.
Also, 'Time out of mind', 'Gaucho', 'Josie', 'FM'
  • I could perm any 5 from those already posted, but 'Pearl of the Quarter' also deserves a mention.
