I was very surprised watching her posing for pictures outside her house like she was auditioning for FHM. Given the ordeal she has gone through it just seemed extremely odd.
Like you say horrific for someone to go through but she seems to be taking it in her stride.

Don't wish to make light of this, but why has the suspect, Lukasz Herba, got Duct Tape stuck to the back of his head in one of his mugshots? Does this mark you out as being a member of Roland Duchatelet's criminal syndicate, in the same way that members of the Crips used to wear a blue bandana?
I'm not sure if it's the cynical world we leave it but when I listened to her statement etc. - I felt exactly the same. Sounds dodgy.
Obviously at face value it's absolutely horrific that it can be considered let alone carried out.
I read about this in the paper yesterday. The story was accompanied by a picture of the young lady in fairly skimpy clothing with a big grin. The caption said "this was the young lady the day after getting home" and I was taken aback with how well she had readjusted to life after an incredible ordeal as depicted in the news.
Something doesn't quite sound right with this story.
I thought that yesterday & i haven't even read her statement. I don't know why but as you say it just doesn't sound right. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if somewhere down the line it comes out that it was all about her getting publicity for her modelling career.

It certainly seems that very few people believe the story, including much of the media as they seem to be treading very cautiously with their reporting of it.

I would usually tend to agree, but I've just been really struck by the tone of some of the media reporting. I'm 100% fence sitting on this one, something certainly doesn't seem quite right. But again she really could have been through a horrific ordeal.

I saw this on the news yesterday & heard her read what I assumed was a " prepared statement" - very monotone & no emotion in it at all - saw more tears & anguish from the British women athletes last night.
Didn't think she looked all that & was wearing a low cut top & short shorts ...... but maybe that is what all 20 year olds wear these days.

I think you're right. I was hesitant about commenting because we don't know anywhere near enough about it, but I did because there are so many odd elements to it that it's really piqued my interest, admittedly somewhat ashamedly.
That said, the idea that a bunch of strangers on an internet forum should feel it worth sharing their opinion of how pretty or ugly they find her, is as irrelevant as it is pathetic.

The thing is people react differently to crimes against them. Some get angry, some get anxious and withdrawn, others shrug it off and crack on with things. There's no right or wrong response, it just is what it is. Yet because she's not acting in a way some on here would expect her to they are expressing doubt about her story and using the opportunity to have a pop at her motives, morality or even the way she looks.
She's a model, therefore she's comfortable in front of the cameras. Maybe she is making the most of a dreadful situation and looking for £££'s off The Sun or maybe what she's wearing in the interviews is actually pretty modest for her? I dunno and neither does anyone else on here.
Expecting her to dress like Laura Ingalls and fall apart in reading out a prepared statement is projecting a stereotype that she was never going to meet.
