Thierry Henry: Arsenal legend leaves role as club's under-18 coach

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36774864

Wenger told him he couldn't do his Sky work (where his job was to criticise Arsenal players) and coach at Arsenal as well

Henry must now find a team to coach in order to complete his Pro Licence...any chance of us offering him a job? It's not as if he'd demand a high salary, as Sky are paying him a fortune

Apparently he offered to do the coaching for free with Arsenal and have his proposed salary divided amongst the current coaches. Hypocrisy from Wenger here is laughable as he still does his punditry on the side

Let him coach us for free

Imagine Lookman being coached by Henry for a year while he gets his badges...

    This
  • After the England V Iceland game when Hodgson resigned, Henry said there was no way should Wenger be considered for the England job. I thought that was a strange thing to say at the time.
  • Got to say that I make Wenger right on this one, very similar to Gary Neville when we was coaching England and working with Sky.

It is effectively your boss, or another employee criticising you in public! Something that most private companies would run a mile from.

Only in the strange world of football, it seems, is it seen as acceptable.
