Now that RD has sold SL can we look back retrospectively and see a pattern of moving assets from SL to Charlton prior to the sale? I think some people may have mentioned this idea already in terms of players. But consider also the fact that Big Bob was only given a year contract and that Guy was fired because his position was no longer tenable (in which order they both lost their job i can't recall but doesn't really make a difference to the theory if quiet promises were made to Guy). Could RD have only ever thought of Bob as a stop gap measure (no matter how successful (within reason) he was)? Was RD's plan for sometime to get his special Guy to Charlton and start building here from the day RD bought the club?
