Ravel Morrison

Rumoured to be on his way out at West Ham. Reading between the lines it looks as if Hammers want shot rather than a loan. A liability of a player on too high wages or someone who we could realistically target?

  • Seems like the bloke has major issues
  • Liability
  • He's too far stuck up his own arse.
  • Could join the likes of Taarabt, Pogba to a country like Italy i'd imagine, that can usually settle a player down and get their potential out, England is too comfortable for the likes of Ravel to be a trouble maker. Won't come to us and wouldn't want him to.
  • He wouldnt come to us.
  • I admit it is hard to predict where he'll end up. General consensus seems to be the same as above but someone will take the risk as he certainly has the raw ability.
  • he will end up in Persia.

Is he actually any good ?
  • Hasn't been able to settle anywhere so far. Clearly very talented but not right in the head, shame. He'd never come to us anyway.

  • Thought he looked very good at our place. Was certainly QPR's best player. Just seems to have his head in completely the wrong place to do his talent justice. Will probably disappear from the game in a couple of years
  • liability - wouldn't want him (don't even particularly think he's that good)
  • The reason he's being bombed out of West Ham isn't because of an attitude problem, though he has been guilty of that in the past, more to do with him bubbling up Alladyce to the chairman about him constantly trying to put pressure on him to sign with an agent that just happens to be a friend of his.
  • Quality player who who had an outside chance of making the World Cup squad this time last year. I think he'll throw his career away.
  • Ravel the Rebel
  • Dont think Bob would put up with his shit but he'd likely still be disruptive even so. Maybe him and Reza could link up well with the under 21s...

Not worth the hassle to be honest, equally good players out there without the baggage
  • What a fantastic signing this kid would be
  • Would be our best signing of the summer by a mile, can't believe people would not want him. We would, however, stand absolutely no chance of signing him.

Maybe he read Poyets tweets and realised he had played too many games for West Ham first team and needed a new challenge.
  • There's a reason Man Utd, West Ham and even QPR aren't interested. You get a bit of good football out of him, he falls out of form and then he does something stupid. It's been the pattern everywhere he's been and he's not worth the trouble

You're forgetting one thing mate. We're charlton atheltic.

I'm not forgetting that. At our level the difference between survival and a decent season can be the togetherness of the team. The margins are so thin between teams in the middle and at the bottom. We don't know how our new squad will turn out but having someone who only occasionally turns in good form but always creates a mess off the pitch is a bad choice

He has to grow up some time....

    Go get him Mr Bobby

  • Turned up for a disciplinary with Karen Brady to discuss his driving ban. Threw his car keys on the table, folded his arms and asked "yeah?". Moved to QPR cos big ed said he could handle him. Big ed couldn't handle him. No Cloughie around to sort the boy,
  • No thanks. Hope he ends up at Hayes and Yeading in 2 years. Up his own .
  • No thanks, this is the sort of arrogant little prick that basically sums up most of what has gone wrong with English football.

    This.

    Not with our budget!

QPR underperformed last season badly, but that started before he joined them. They played like a team of individuals at The Valley, but Morrison was probably the pick of them, he's clearly got masses of talent... but also causes masses of hassle. Might be worth the risk for those moments of magic that turn turgid nil nils into 3 points

Westham want rid because he poibted out that fat sam tries to get player's to use his agent (whether that is true or not you would have to askfat sam)

At man u he had too many distractions with his friends up there

At qpr harry redknapp is a c

But ultimately, we cant afford him and he wouldnt sign for us

More chance of me getting the freedom of Saudi Arabia right now than this happening.

    Is that you Reza?

Morrison is more likely to crash and burn than be a success. Great talent, no common sense. Old purple nose got rid of him because he was more trouble than he's worth. I could see a flare up between big Bob and him if he came here.
