    Just checked.....................yes
Millwall will be rolling back the years with a special Christmas trip down memory lane when Middlesbrough visit The Den this Saturday. (5.30pm).

Twenty-five years ago Cliff Richard provided the 'soundtrack' for the festive season with Mistletoe & Wine, topping the charts at a time when a pint of beer would have set you back 87p - and a ticket to watch The Lions just a fiver!

To get into the spirit of Christmas we are delighted to offer fans attending our Sky televised game with Boro admission at a special 1988/89 price of just £5* (excluding hospitality areas).

Way back then, a Lions team including the likes of Les Briley, Teddy Sheringham and Tony Cascarino were enjoying life as Millwall spent their first-ever season in the top flight.

Midfielder Les - still a regular here at The Den on matchdays - was also on target against Middlesbrough that season, scoring in a 2-0 home win against Boro in February 1989!

The current Lions squad will be aiming to produce a vintage display to provide some festive cheer for Millwall fans in the last game of 2013.

So why not take advantage of our fantastic discounted ticket price of just £5* and enter into the festive fun here at The Den?!
  • I hope the festive fun includes a 5-0 defeat.
  • One of the worst halves of football you will ever see
  • I saw their CEO being interviewed on TV, said he is hoping the £5 will mean families will go to the game after they have been our xmas shopping for the day, can just see families going to it....
  • Its got better, 1-0 to Boro
  • Great finish

Yes with a free bottle thrown in

  • Looking at the dross being served up by the spanners, if we can't finish above them then we will deserve what we get.

  • how the hell did we lose to these lot, and how are they above us???? if we finish below them we will go down, cos they are not going to be far from ther drop

That'll do , plenty of boos flowing at Christmas.

  • Att: 11,078 hmmmmmmm
  • 11,000 of them for there for their "football for a fiver". If they ain't worth a "lol", nothing is.
  • 11,078 there for their footballforafiver.

Picked the wrong game, wrong KO time, wrong time of year and wrong as on TV.

Yes, maybe 3K up on what they would have got but would most likely lost money on it.

And they lost and threw bottles on the pitch.

Maybe they will sack Lomas and then the Powell haters will say "look at them, above us and still sacked their boss" forgeting they lost Jones, a very good manager in the summer, and spent more on wages for new players then we did.

As usual, Steve Jones getting the blame for things.

Steve Jones / Jacket? Nah I am not buying that.
  • I would blame predictive text but it was the wine.

Kenny Jones was in the small faces/faces/who and Kenny jacket managed Millwall

the powell haters are back? heaven forbid that anyone would have their own opinion on his fantastic record and playing style that does not conform with your love in.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES get in, draw at Bolton, we are nearly up with the spanners now, what an achievement, they have spent billions this year.

Hope SCP is not snapped up by BARCA in the new year, obviously everyone would be impressed with our scoring stats.
  • Change the record, it wasn't very good first time.
