2012/13 Football betting thread

Apologies if there is 1 already but I thought it would be a good idea to keep all bets for the season in 1 place.

Place all football related bets for the 2012/13 season here

My league winner bet for the season is Fleetwood to win league 2 @ 7-1

Will post my bets for this weekends matches once I have had a proper look

Anyone else?

  • I've had a 10 quid accy on 5 teams already but 1st game is always dodge.

    Arsenal to beat Sunderland
    Forest to beat Bristol city
    Reading to beat Stoke
    Sheff u to beat Shrewsbury
    Crewe to beat Notts County

    Returns £268
  • Charlton are 7/2 to beat Birmingham tomorrow. Tempting!

Very much so. All over that. 4/1 with Bet Victor. Sneaky 1-0 win.
  • League 2 Handicap - Gillingham

    This weekend
Single - Bournemouth to win at Pompey with -1 handicap 13/8 (should have put that on a week ago at 3/1, lots of bookies not taking bets on that game after Pompey's result in the week)

    Accy -
Man U to bt Everton 10/11
Forest to bt Bristol City 9/10
    Crawley to beat Scunthorpe 21/20
    Swindon to beat Hartlepool 11/8
    Fleetwood to bt Torquay 21/20

    Fiver returns £181.

Important Note - I don't think I've ever won a bet on the opening day of the season, usually end up miles off, they look good now though!
  • What about an away treble on the three promoted sides? Pays 54-1!!

Must say I like the look of that accy
  • Always a bit brave backing promoted teams to beat established teams on the first day. Charlton offer value at 4/1, but I don't think Crawley do. More likely to be a draw in my opinion.
  • Put this on another thread a few days ago but the Utd/City SFC at 9/2 is a massive price. It was that until today but is still big at 4/1.
  • man utd, Bolton, Swindon, fleetwood, Luton all to win the league 6692/1

    just over 11/1
  • Looks decent mate. Definately worth a tenner.
  • To follow up my shambolic weekend bets, a double for tonight:

Rotherham to win at Northampton 13/8, Gillingham to win at Wycombe 2/1 - £5 returns £40.

Whilst Gillingham's just a personal hunch, think Rotherham are a good bet at those odds - newly wealthy and a cert for the top three. Someone more sensible than me could make a nice little profit on Rotherham to win as a single.
