I see Ursula Leguins trilogy which became the Earthsea quartet that predates Rowlings work, is coming to the big screen in the form of a animated Japanese feature Tales from Earthsea (which draws from the 3rd and 4th books). I believe there was a TVM done a short time back in the US on the earlier book(s).
