Pratley, Pratley, Ohhhh Darren Pratley,

He is magic.

He passes the ball and we’re certain to score....

  • Unlucky that their keeper made a fantastic recovery to save his wonder strike.

    Darren, Darren Pratley
    He lies about his age

Better than generic songs that other team's fans sing
  • Darren Pratley's magic, he wears the magic hat
He used to live in Wales but then he said f**k that
He passes with his left foot, he passes with his right
And when we win promotion, we'll sing this song all night
  • Darren, Darren Pratley to the tune of paparazzi.
    What a call that is.

"I'm your biggest fan, I'll follow you until you love me, Darren, Darren Pratley"

Is that already a chant? If not, it's too good not to be. That's class.
  • He's here
    He's there
    He's every fecking where
    Pratley, Pratley

I think we sung it last year but about someone else, can't remember who though
  • We’ve got Darren Pratley
    Plays with Forster-Caskey
    Never gives the ball away...

Should be easy enough for the fans to pick up...

One issue there... Plays needs to be played
  • The Lawrie Wilson used to be shite works well...
  • We've got Pratley
    Darren Pratley
I just don't think you understand
We signed him on a free
    He's better than Messi
    We've got Darren Pratley

He was never shite, just not as fit or quick as he is now. Repeat after me:-

    Darren, Darren Pratley
    He lies about his age.
  • Good spot Eltham... Am surprised in a small way that Adkins decided it was him or Watson
  • Good spot Eltham... Am surprised in a small way that Adkins decided it was him or Watson

Watson is still under contract for another year
  • What a servant he’s been for us, who’d have thought signing at his age he’d get over 100 games in the shirt.
  • Thanks for that goal in the play offs
  • I for one will miss him a 100 times better than Watson.

  • I think he has a brilliant servant and will always be welcome at the Valley.
  • Has anyone checked in on Leuth to make sure he's okay... First Naby, now Darren... Feels like all his Charlton heroes are deserting him
  • Devastating that Ben Watsons extension clause has forced him out.

Will always be remembered for his play off performances but in general he's been great, definition of the model pro who can absolutely still do a job at this level.
  • This does not mean that Watson is staying for another year. They might come to an agreement, or tell him he's 4th choice. Or we might keep him and just have to put up with him holding his knees and breathing like a heavy smoker who has just made it to the pub.
  • I for one will miss him a 100 times better than Watson.
    Exactly this.
I know Watson has a year left on his contract but I would have preferred to pay him off and keep Pratley.

Played his heart out for the club every time he puled on the shirt, was a leader on and off the pitch.

He was also a much better player than a few fans realised or understood.  Football isn't just about hitting 40 yards balls.

For the Donny semi-final and for coming on and changing the play-off final alone he deserves great credit.

But all good things come to an end. Only wish him well for the future.
  • Just think if he hadn’t pulled a muscle in the last minute at Birmingham he could have clattered into Jude Bellingham and stopped the cross for the last gasp equaliser
  • Ahh, the curse of people picking two old threads!

Apologies for closing this one, Grateful if people could c&p their recent posts on the other one
