1)
We finished 3rd this season. We won 4 more games. Scored more goals. We should be confident. Over 46 games....we were the better side!
2)
Doncaster.. .in my opinion, were more challenging play off opposition then Portsmouth. For a number of reasons.
We got through it and Doncaster really took us to the wire and did not make it easy!
That will play into our hands. It will remind us that we need to do better!
3)
We haven't beaten Sunderland this season....so we will want to sort that out. Our energy and work rate may increase due to emotional hunger of "revenge".
4)
Sunderland will still probably be the bookies favourite.
We like being the underdog. That will play into our hands too.
5)
We have much better supporters

1)
Sunderland have a good defensive record and only lost 5 games this season.
2)
They will be heavily reminded of 1998 and how much they need to change and put a positive spin on it.
3)
They have already played at Wembley this season. Even more of a reason to want to put things right. They lost that final.

They’ve drawn an extraordinary number of games this season. A sign of a team and manager that is too cautious or no winning instinct ?
We’ve got Lee Bowyer.
Lyle is the best striker in this division.
Aribo will want to prove just how good he is.
Dillon will be our new goalkeeping hero.
Our club needs it more than they do.
They will be shitting bricks.
Massive advantage in my opinion.
Shrewsbury played at Wembley twice last season and lost both times to Lincoln and Rotherham
Sunderland haven't won in their last three visits to Wembley (1990 and 1998 in the Play-Offs and 2019 in the EFL Trophy)
their average home attendance for the season will have been more than double ours
their average away following was 2,681ours was 984
they owe us for 1998 the greatest ever game and the footballing gods will repay them back , nothing will ever equal or better that .

for me the big problem is the way we lined up against Doncaster with Taylor and Parker playing wider roles with Aribo tucked in behind. I’m sure that was to do with Bowyer tactically wanting to address their threat down the wings, but if we adopt that sort of 4-3-3 again, I wouldn’t be too happy. It just seemed to take the threat out of Taylor’s game and I’m just not convinced Parker is able to job further out. I want us to go back to our 4-4-2 diamond. I don’t mind Parker starting, because I don’t think it would be correct to put Taylor up top on his own with say Morgan and Williams out wide, similar to how we started at Oxford.
The big questions for me are whether Solly comes back in and if Williams starts.

Bowyer must really rate Morgan because if we play him CM we sacrifice the effectiveness of Aribo and give Taylor double the workload alongside Parker.
Nothing against Morgan, I’ve very much liked what I’ve seen so far, but we have to drop Aribo back alongside Cullen if we want to win this game.
Previous last time I moved house was in early 2011. The first full season was 11/12 League One winners.
I moved house Feb last year. This happens to be the first full season in my current house. Promotion to come again?

obviously its it’s great for our younger , outside the first team squad players but from a selfish snob football fans point of view , it makes me feel sick we are that far down the football pyramid that our “first team” is supposed to play against other clubs u-21s

We already beat the best team in the play off semis. Do not let the table fool you, Portsmouth and Sunderland were serial chokers this season and their two games were awful to watch.
We can't play as bad as we did in our last game, them holding out looking for a tight win is their best weapon, their ridiculous amount of draws will tell you that.
They are far more likely to get on their teams back with their 'better than this league' mentality. We were crap against Donny and we still kept singing. They concede one and they're up in arms.
They don't better us anywhere on the pitch, at the very best they can match us.
Cons, there ain't any. Win one more game and we are up, you wouldn't mind that at the start of the season so why is it any different now. We play our best, they play their best and we will win this game. It is that simple.
