Was that what I always call "the Ricky Otto" game?  I think we lost 4-2 and Keith Jones scored for them, boxing day?
Didn't both managers get sent off?
I think ours did, not sure about both.

Not sure from that game but I remember 1 at roots Hall when loads of players were sent off, or injured, Brown in goal, Nelson at full back. Carnage.

1994 at Man Utd was about 10k.

The two midweek cup games at Anfield in the 90s were pretty big as well.
I went to both of those and my face was on MotD after I had phoned in sick for work :-)
For one of those games I arranged a meeting in our Liverpool factory for which I had to go up that day

Was in a pool car, thankfully I managed to park it in Liverpool without it being nicked!

You are correct, I only looked at the year for the first one.

2 nil down? Then doing the conger behind Mick Gebbit (sp?) sorry if it's wrong Mick.
Sir Chris Powell received his first England cap too

4 minutes in, and VFR being sung at old-skool, slower speed. After the final whistle you'll see an Inter-CAFC scarf. Can't imagine there's too many of those floating around

Took my boys to that game (@CallumCAFC) looked like a real hero when I told him we would win 3-2 at 2-0 down. Cov supporters were vile, we were right along side them they were spitting on kids. Bloody animals and the stewards were total shite! Brilliant game though 😃

Sean Newton’s bicycle kick. Such a great match to watch again.

That was '88, a shame a year earlier we did not have the same numbers at St Andrews.

It was actually the final league game of the 87/88 season, it just happened to be the crunch game to decide who went into the playoffs!

That was my first proper away day (not counting the Wembley 98 final). Remember getting proper upset when we went 2-0 down and I remember Pringle(?) jumping in the air on the goal line to get out of the way of Newton’s shot. Apart from that I remember very little of that day.

We would take that to Millwall if they gave us the allocation.
    We took 40,000 to Wembley.
    Millwall is closer for most.

Charlton’s even closer and we never have a high turn out at home for that fixture

It's not our cup final and there are many that choose not to go for fear of death.

    Ridiculous really.

Currently sit 17th in the 2. Bundesliga, haven't been in the Bundesliga since 1995 and only average 27k at home.

Brilliant - just watched this on the way to work!

Why on earth did they have fireworks on the pitch before Coventry v Charlton in the FA Cup 3rd round?!

Dresden are one of the biggest clubs from the old East Germany, and obviously Hertha are from Berlin so it's a big east german derby.

Dresden historically have huge support, they took over 20k to another cup game 3-4 years ago. They also historically have one of the worst hooligan elements in Germany too, so i'm amazed the authorities have let them have 35k tickets for an away game.

They were even kicked out of the German cup a few years ago after their fans rioted at an away game.
