If Blackpool are one of the form teams it shows how weak this League is... they were never a serious threat (Phillips had the day off) and had to defend for their lives for about 70% of the game

No end product. Winless in 4 games and the game before that we won cos of a 90th minute gift of a pen. 1 goal in 5 games from open play aswell. Without Grant the other team’s defence just have Taylor to worry about, and that means he’s almost ineffective. Once again Roland has ruined our season
Three draws and a loss in the last four games. These last few results are so disappointing following a good run when we were eyeing a shot at the autos. Still, I should know better now ....this is Charlton after all. Frustrated today but would never dream of supporting anyone else. It's part of me.

Since we’ve lost Grant pace up top we've ended up playing in front of the oppositions back four and can’t find a way to get behind them. We’ve lost our ability to counter attack with Steer and Grant leaving.
The final ball was terrible except from Aribo in the first half which Parker didn’t connect with.
All very nice to watch but we didn’t do enough to deserve the win.
Realistically will Cullen, Williams, Marshall, Lapslie score one goal between them now and the end of the season? Probably not.
Lee Bowyer has a big dilemma coming up, because as it stands we are too easy to defend against.
Luton were on an unbeaten League run of 14 until they signed George Moncur on 19th January. Since then they've won 6 on the bounce to make it 20 unbeaten and he's helped himself to 4 goals. We let go of our top scorer and have as a team scored one solitary goal in that time.
One side strengthened when they were pushing for promotion. The other did the complete opposite.
Watched on stream and listened to Blackpool commentary on radio. Thought we gave it a decent go second half but final ball had to be better and nothing fell for us.
From the Blackpool perspective the commentators felt they were under the cosh most of the second half and were grateful for a point in the end citing their defender Tilt as man of the match. Their side had put their bodies on the line and defended for their lives getting blocks in time and again and I can't really argue with that observation. In fact they could have nicked it had Armand Gnanduillet scored from six yards late on.
Didn’t think it was as bad as some. Disappointing to see Taylor throwing himself all over the place. The defender and the ref had his number, but it didn’t stop him acting up. Aribo looked good, but could shoot more and needs to drive into the box, not go back to beat his man again. Sarr looks world class. Blackpool looked a very good team for 25 minutes.but I felt we shaded it and could have won.
We have reached that time in the season yet again under Roland where in some kind of existential form we realise (hoping against hope naturally) that for Duchatelet competing in a sporting competitive environment where success is the aim is simply not what Duchatelet cares about. The dawning realisation that creeps across the playing staff like a shadow over the sun is painful to watch. The (innocent?) belief on the part of managers and players that Roland is concerned, has been swept away because he sells half our goals without being bothered about it. The rest of us are bothered. Hasn't the same kind of diffidence been the destiny of every manager? At the time when you could do with the owner giving some support you feel abandoned. Powell, Riga, Peeters, Luzon, (weirdly possibly not Fraeye), Riga, Slade (his marooning happened even before the season started), Robinson, and now Bowyer. There has been opportunity with every manager bar Fraeye to do a bit of consolidating and move forward, and those opportunities are never realised. The fans sussed this from almost the start, that freezing meeting in Woolwich feels how long ago now? As for the details of the poor game, with only one on target effort from each team as far as I can remember, they seem less important this evening than what now seems to be the endless direction of travel under this owner. We made four changes from last week and it was unsettling. A decent Blackpool felt that, and we were threatened early on. As the players got used to things we got better, but the strangeness of the referee, the large crowd (!), and Taylor more interested in making points than usual (as in he usually displays his character after we score a goal). It was disjointed, unexciting, and for all of the little bits and pieces here and there it feels like a massive disappointment. When Roland realised it was Valentines day last Thursday, his partner anticipating a nice fragrant bouquet, probably got given plastic flowers.
Taylor was a bit of a caricature of himself today, and not a particularly flattering one. he’s gone from winding up defenders to winding up refs. The word seems to be getting round the refs ‘don’t trust him’
Parker needs to play off the shoulder of the last man, but kept drifting back into Taylor territory. Igor made us more dangerous and should have come on earlier.
