I'm surprised at how many cinema -swerving soul mates I've got out there. Horrible places.
Who doesn't like a cinema? Quiet, dark place where silence is the only socially acceptable behaviour and you get to watch something you want to in peace. I go to a smaller cinema in the daytime (or the morning, it's great) so I don't have the sounds of straws and sweet wrappers rustling and enjoy the calm.

I'm going to spoil it by telling everyone about it now but St Dunstan in the East gardens. Just a few minutes walk from my office in the heart of the City there's a church that was bombed out in WWII which has been turned in to a garden. It's a beautiful, peaceful spot to spend a lunch hour when you're sick of all the arseholes you have to deal with at work every day.
