I actually thought Frank was a bit unlucky to be fired tonight. It wasn't him who caused the failure of the task

Though to be fair I thought he should have been fired last week anyway!

The losing PM should have gone, the tree surgeon. He was pathetic.

Amazingly, you can actually buy doughnuts like that, with biscuits and other stuff on top

Frank complaining about being left with a mis shappen ring was a choice of words aswell as "fire in the hole"

The pm should of gone was pathetic - asked for a vote on everything.

V on trend not doughnuts but our office is next door to the primrose bakery which specialise in odd cup cakes, so have all sorts on top of them from 8am- 5pm they are packed and always have plenty of couriers picking up orders they are around £4/6 a pop!.

The team that won only did so because they got £280 for complete rubbish. That isn't business acumen as nobody would use them again! The team that lost lost because they over promised - their product was much better. The project leader should have gone for not bringing the guilty party into the boardroom who should have gone if he did. Overall though, Sugar isn't bothered that tosh was sold as that is what he has done throughout his business career. I suppose he has managed to get rich out of it!

I was absolutely astonished last night that everyone thought a fiver for a doughnut was a reasonable starting point. the world's gone completely mad

Just sums up a lot of what is going on in parts of London these days.
The selling of complete guff for a fortune and people actually paying for it!

I think I’m in love with that Jasmine Doris.

Based on the task, I think the bird should have gone. Chilli chocolate is a completely different flavour to a chocolate doughnut with sriracha sauce drizzled on it. She also made the call to go to Shepherds Bush which had no footfall.

She's a stronger candidate than the other two though so can see why she was saved, Frank should have gone in a double sacking last week.

She was really impressive when running the kitchen, she led them really well once the PM had gone

At this stage, I also think that it's easy to target people who made a bad decision, when there are people hiding in the background who do and say nothing who should be getting the boot instead

Bunch of idiots. Imagine selling doughnuts for as little as £4. Everyone knows the going rate for a doughnut in London is a minimum of £6. Pathetic!

The problem is she might have been on the right track - making a deluxe product. But Chilli chocolate isn't about pouring a load of chilli sauce over chocolate. It is getting the level right so there is just a suggestion of chilli. Probably because they try to undermine each other but they always make the same mistakes. BTW, if you have a team trying to undermine each other and you as team leader, it probably isn't the worst tactic to make decisions by vote to give ownership. You need leaders, but the format creates teams that are difficult if not impossible to lead. Maybe it is the editing - I suspect the show is edited to show Sugar in the best light and the contestants in the worst. His jokes about the cast were clearly scripted.

And to be fair, they made the call due to time and distance. Maybe they wasted too much time but that is another matter.

Ok, we have a Charlton life team in the apprentice - We have to make doughnuts we can sell at a premium - what are the considerations. I will suggest as a starter, it has to be based around a standard doughnut we could actually produce consistently, so where do we add the value. let's see if we are better than them?

Vegan, sell them at Old Street.

Shepherd's Bush itself wasn't a bad decision. The bad decision was to go to Shepherd's Bush Green and annoy people eating their packed lunches rather than walk 200 metres to Europe's largest shopping centre and sell to the many thousands of people who are out shopping
That area between the tube station and Westfield is rammed full of potential customers.

Would they be allowed to go there or inside the shopping centre though?

To be honest the programme must gain permission as you are not allowed to just go and sell your wares on the street. You can get in trouble for giving out leaflets without permission!

don't see the area by the tube being any different to the area they've gone to in previous episodes at Canary Wharf

My plan for this task- it's purely based on profit, Sir Lord Sugar doesn't care about who's got the best doughnuts and we don't need to worry about repeat custom, so I'm not going to waste half the day learning how to make them and then making them badly because there's nowhere near enough time to learn properly

I'm going to the supermarket and buying as many of the 5 for £1 jam doughnuts as I can get, decorating them with whatever we've got that's cheapest and then spending the rest of the day flogging them for a couple of quid and loads of profit

You can get a tray of 12 iced doughnuts in Asda for £2.50 and they are actually pretty tasty. Buy the chocolate ones and add some chocolate liqueur like Mozart to the icing. Make some dark chocolate music note shapes and stick on the top. Call them Salzburg doughnuts and sell them for £5 each.

Just buy trays of Krispy Kreme and resell them for more money than you paid.

As a Charlton Life team member perhaps our USP could be a tray of 14?
