Oi Charlton - Kits - Message from Charlton supporting parents

edited July 2018 in General Charlton
I’ve spoke to every Charlton supporting parent today.

Don’t worry, there’s so few of us left that I managed to do it by mid morning so I could watch Dion Dublin bigging up in some shit tip in Dudley worth £400 per calendar month.

Anyway, we are all united on this. Stick Betdaq on the kids kits.

They don’t want some property services company or some logistics guff on it, they want the shirt that the players wear. Just like their mates who all support better clubs do.

Given you promoted shagging on the pitch in your marketing, I strongly doubt there is some form of social conscience angle in this. But if there is, you shouldn’t have taken the cash in the first place.

So let us as parents be the judge on it. We all voted this morning and not one person was worried about their kids going all in on the Asian handicap markets, distracted during games by in play odds or wanting a transfer on their arm during the summer holidays of Ray Winstone saying ‘have a chomp on that’.

And if it’s the EFL sticking their nose in, just laugh and saw ‘haven’t you got some ownership paperwork to be keeping you busy?’ You’ve seen how their have ignored Charlton, Blackpool, Orient, Leeds and a whole heap of other clubs in recent years, so it’s a bit late to be getting all efficient now!

So that’s all sorted then. Good good.

From memory I think it's actually the FA that stipulate that Children sizes can't have betting logo's on them.

Data Techniques. That's what the cool kids are wearing.

I’d rather it was left plain if they aren’t allowed the betting company (not that I’d be bothered about the kids having the official sponsor (not that Afka bothered to ask))

You didn’t speak to me mate

But I would have agreed with you

    I only asked ‘proper Charlton’....

    Almost worth a flag that.

I been all over as a Charlton fan
    From Exeter to Carlisle

    I fear this is unraveling.

Apart from those three, I spoke to everyone else. And as you can see, even the trouble ones above I refused to speak to still agreed with me.

@AFKABartram asked me as a responsible adult and I said I really don't give a shite.

    Nor did @Live_by_The_Sword.

But then again, he's 31 this year.

Only Exeter? Not Plymouth then, you call yourself 'proper'!

The FA have done an amazing job of making sure kids aren't exposed to betting companies in SKYBET League 1......

On that note, you can't have betting companies on the front of shirts, but the badges on the sleeves are ok for kids to have?

So I may have missed out five fans. Shoot me now

You can just imagine the kids pulling on their shirts with betting companies on the front and thinking, immediately, where can I get a bet?
The football authorities are a joke.

I don’t really understand the FA/EFL position on this. Surely kids are more likely to be influenced by the myriad of betting adverts beamed into their homes every half time of a televised match far more than a bookies on the front of their shirt?

I don’t want my kids wearing shirts with betting/booze/pay day loan companies on. Just my opinion, and football does need to sort it’s weird relationship with betting out, that includes Sky Bet being league sponsors

Ok, so if we are all being completely honest, I did ask Rothko but as he disagreed with me I deleted his response and changed to ‘nice one AFKA, I agree’

This is why I never asked you @cafcdave123 ...

It's ironic. Only because kids investing their childhood and subsequent adult lives into Charlton athletic is probably one of the worst gambles they'll ever take on!!

Don't do it kids. If you have the shirt with the other sponsor then you can deny all knowledge of knowing anything about CAFC when it all goes tits up.....just in case one of the other kids in school stayed up until 2AM and saw the adult shirt on channel 5 one Sunday morning after a pasting away at Walsall!
