He'll need an extra CB or two as the African Nations Cup (held in January/February), could rob us of Bougherra, Diawara and El Kak (although he'll be gone anyway).

Who does that leave us with? Fortune, McCarthy, Sankofa(?)..

Has been in the States at a US playing camp getting match fit and will be working on his fitness all summer.

I just looked at Gibbs' stats and he has played just 41 games since summer 2003!!! Never mind getting match fit, he almost needs to learn how to play the game again!
