Remember him getting sent off on a Friday night game at Roots Hall when we then got a last minute equaliser.

    RIP

Played when we were at a low ebb but, from what I remember as I played sport myself back then so only got to midweek or Friday night games, he always put in a shift.

Around the 30 mark. I worked with him a couple of years ago and still know a few of his mates.
Still kept fit by running, never smoked but still gone at only 65.

How sad. Remember him giving away a pen —saved — then we broke away and immediately won a pen at other end, which Vince scored.

    Rip.

About five years ago I heard that he was a Market Inspector in Hackney. Apparently he used to talk about his time at Charlton a lot.

I always thought he played at the back alongside big Dave Shipperly.
Was surprised when he left as he looked a good player.

RIP Vince, I remember you well. Early 1970's, the club was up shit street, but strangely I have so many fond memories of those days.

He wasn’t exactly an Inspector but had a part to play in the revival of Broadway Market
