Well well well I wonder if Jeremy and Co might start to join the dots together?

You mean the person who called to for sanctions and to go after the dirty money after the first attack? No you are probably right, let's expel some more diplomats. That will show them.
Whatever we do, it will hurt us as well as hurting them. May as well seize russian oligarchs assets in the UK, it may well cause a crash in the economy, but it'll hurt them, and so putin, a lot more.

Better than going to war and incinerating everyone.

But back to the subject, corbyn refused to lay blame at the kremlin's door.

Two Russian citizens charged over the Novichok poisoning.

Suspects have just been named, nobody has been found/charged. If they're in Russia then nothing's going to happen.

Correct - but we have to follow due process.

The pictures of the two suspects are pretty much exactly how you would imagine them looking. They couldn't look more like Russian agents if they were dressed as Boris and Natasha!

Thanks for the correction. I misread my news alert. Does the UK have an extradition treaty with Russia ? We should pursue this as hard as we can and bring the international community along with us.

Iirc it’s in the Russian constitution not to extradite its citizens.

Of course it is. Then I think a further round of expulsions and making life very difficult for very rich Russians living here. Important that we get complete support from our European partners......oh hang on.

Why is it important? It happened in our country and we’re more than capable of dealing with it ourselves. What do you want the French et al to do?

Are you seriously asking why would we like support from other members of the EU should we antagonise high ranking officials and super rich citizens of one of the scariest powers in the world?

I wonder what Aeroflot's policy is on transporting lethal nerve agents? 51% owned by the Russian Govt. - perhaps they don't get a choice in the matter.

Another reason to give that lot a complete swerve I'd have thought.

I wonder if the "official carrier of Manchester United" is still going to be in that role for very much longer? https://manutd.com/en/Partners/Global/Aeroflot

Let's face it - that tie-up is pretty much as odious as Newcastle's Wonga deal. What a scummy club.

The Met Police have done a fantastic job, in my view, so far. It seems they have compiled a significant amount of key information linking these two individuals to the novichok attack and they should be congratulated for doing so.

I would like to know, however, how the Prime Minister can claim that they are GRU agents, given that we don't know their real names or ages.

I am very sure that they are, of course. The circumstantial evidence points in that direction. But what information does the Prime Minster have, to conclude and announce that they are?

I imagine she has access to more information than you or me, just because we don't know their names it's silly to assume no one else does.

The CPS has stated more evidence is known about the agents but not willing to come forward with it.

Having posted pictures to the media they now hoping it will jog peoples memory, a bit like Crimewatch:)

Have a look at my last paragraph. I'm doing precisely the opposite of assuming that no-one has more information. I'm just curious to know what it is.

The link between these two bungling amateurs and the GRU hasn't been shown yet. I hope it can be shared at some time.

I’d rather support if any, from our biggest ally, the US, than the French whose navy are currently threatening our fishermen who are legally fishing in their waters.

In any event, your comment was clearly a brexit dig as Germany and France have already committed their support to the UK. Though France’s initial comment was pretty flaky!

Read what he says. He’s suggesting we haven’t got support from other European nations because of brexit. Which is clearly bolox as they’ve already issued statements supporting the uk.

Only options open is for uK, the rest of Europe plus our best buddies across the pond to up the sanctions. And then scrutinise the bibs and bobs of every Russian staying in the U.K nick all their money (watches and porn) then stick two fingers up at Putin. That will learn them eh!

I’m not suggesting anything. I’m merely pointing out the irony of large parts of the British Government wanting to tell the EU to do one but expect full and unequivocal support from those self same people. The support which will I’m sure be 100% forthcoming. It’s anybody’s guess what will happen in Trumpland and I genuinely believe we have as much chance of getting the support we need from Europe than from across the Atlantic.

These Russian agents may not even be alive. I doubt failed assassination attempts which have gone public will be well received in Russia!

The US have already imposed more sanctions over Novichok than the UK has. Probably time for the UK government to step up to the plate now, better late than never.

Oh I am not sure about that. Litvinenko's killer was given a seat in the Duma, which increased his international protection, despite leaving a trail of Polonium 210 across Europe. I expect Putin will tough it out. RT will show footage of them tending their allotments in Rostov or wherever on the weekend of the Skripal attack. What a bunch of muppets.

The two people trotted out on RT seem to bear no more than a passing resemblance to the people identified by UK police.
