Just seen the media pic Busterblitz. Not only did they get you crossing your arms and singing VFR, they got the bloke who belted out "down the middle Amos" at every free kick, wearing a santa hat, just in front of you. I'd have moved if I were you.
just got back long while since a Charlton side has fought that hard. Excellent defensive display, defending front the front. Formation was a 4-5-1 with the 5 in the middle playing defensive. No number 10 and no attacking wingers. Could be described as 4-5-0-1. All heroes last night. Special mention for KAG who was constantly chasing and running them down. His pace caused them problems. Other mentions for Sarr and Lennon while JJ's presence certainly gives the impression of leadership on the pitch.

12 hours travelled to & from the windy north but few problems encountered en route , thankfully.
Met up with Marilyn & a poorly Oli at the Premier Inn where we enjoyed a couple of drinks & a nice dinner, although Oli's didn't stay around long enough for him to enjoy....Indeed his unhealthy state prompted an unplanned taxi journey to the stadium as there were no wheelbarrows available.
And so to the main reason for our journey.
A very chilly evening saw us start the match with KAG up front & with young Harry & Kashi installed following their cameos in the poor showing on the Essex coast only 4 days previously.
Whilst an in depth examination of the game will never be my forte, and with the elapse of 20 or so hours since the final whistle showing the ever decreasing limit of my memory, I'll merely comment on the 95 mins as I saw them.
According to the The Wigan Post that Mr F insisted on purchasing to accompany our breakfast at the local Sainsbury 's (cheapskates !) we parked the bus at the DW. And I agree. This was indeed Robbo's plan B which he's waited so long to reveal in all its glory ...but it worked ! Big Josh was more effective in defence than he has, of late, been in attack whilst playing alone up front was a role that KAG relished, albeit without managing to score despite 2 very decent attempts. I was impressed with his work rate & feel he will have gained much needed confidence as a result of the gaffer's faith in him. Needs must at a time when the squad is decimated by injury & on this occasion the changes made paid dividends.
Captain Fantastic's much discussed legs did what they say on the tin once again & his constant dialogue with his team mates was evident, invariably helping them to concentrate throughout proceedings. How valuable is this guy to our cause, bless his cotton socks ! I thought Harry added a degree of strength as well as guile to the back four until he had to be subbed due to HIS legs finally giving up after his lengthy period in the treatment room. In fact the back four as a whole played well as a unit & deserve praise...as did the reliable Ben in keeping a much needed clean sheet
Young Joe had a quiet game, I thought whilst it was abundantly clear that our Rickeee wasn't 100% fit when he came on to the pitch late in the game. Oli told us that the player had disembarked at Wigan station around 5.30pm in his tracksuit , and indicated he hadn't travelled with the rest of the lads but had taken the train following a successful fitness test earlier in the day. Hopefully his inclusion indicates he will be more likely to play his part on Monday.
So, the lads did what it seemed they were tasked to do...earn a well deserved point courtesy of the league leaders. And but for a very difficult angle, KAG could well have sent the faithful 370 bananas. The final whistle did elicit lengthy applause which the players shared with us, as did Robbo. Was there a farewell wave from him as he retreated down the tunnel ? Surely not.
Another taxi, another large glass of the cold stuff & so to bed, weary but proud of our lads and one more point to our total that few of us would have predicted.
Whether the first day of the New Year will herald a New Era for our beloved club , I know not.
But something exciting is stirring down in SE7 ....
Sounds like a grind and a hard earned point , it’s ok for us to waste time but no one is allowed to do it to us at The Valley without the standard crying from some of our fans and can’t blame Kettle for a loss .
3 points from 7 games is scarily bad but a point at Wigan feels worth a lot more .
9th in a shit League One is pony beyond belief but the dark cloud of this shit ownership could soon depart

All been said already but a good solid performance with Harry Lennon shoring up the defence brilliantly. Being a bit greedy (probably because I was at the game) I wish we had gone for it a bit more as I was very unimpressed with Wigan and fancied we could have nicked a win. A decent point though but will mean nothing if we don't pick up six points from these next two home games.
Went to Anfield on Saturday so my son could witness Premier League football and also to see Joe Gomez -he was as impressive as ever although should be moved inside as he is a better centre half than Matip and Loveren. Had to laugh at Leicester singing "it's just a ground full of tourists" - it seemed like everyone was there for the first time ever, even saw people punching the air when they got through the ticket gate. It was in huge contrast to the miserable Wigan fans the night before-you would never have thought they were top of the league.....

I was in the Salford Quays area on Saturday afternoon, and had a walk around Old Trafford at 2:30. This was 3 hours before Man U's game kicked off, but there were loads of people around, taking photos in awe etc! I couldn't believe the number of "half and half" scarves on sale from all the vendors outside, I guess it's the ultimate souvenir for the football tourist to remember your game at OT, that famous 0-0 against Southampton
