I had the pleasure of meeting August once, briefly. (And no, not at a porn convention or anything!)

She was lovely, and a very engaging conversationalist. We didn't have too much in common, but all the same, we had a pleasant chat about insignificances, and I think she appreciated not being seen as an object when I was talking to her.

No-one knew quite how bad her depression was, which is really sad.
