BBC Radio Presenter Suspended

edited October 29 in Not Sports Related
This story been doing the rounds over the past few days and now we know who it is.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5024477/BBC-radio-presenter-groped-eight-female-colleagues.html
The BBC themselves announced his suspension on their midnight news on 5live.
I don't know if I'm more disappointed in who it is or, who (sadly) it isn't!
I guess using the term Presenter rather than DJ meant that I was always going to be let down.

    Who?

I'm not saying, you'll have to buy the Sunday Times as they name him. The BBC have neither denied or confirmed the suspension although they have just had the story again on their 2am News which quickly became their 1am news! Unless you're a regular listener (like me) to Radio5Live Breakfast show you may well never have heard of him. It's not Nicky Campbell!

I refer the gentleman to the answer I gave some moments ago.

I think we can rule out Graham Norton

Not a DJ, and I take exception at your homophobic innuendo. A radio presenter, 5Live. Not Danny Baker either!

    No longer on 5Live. ;-)

Well I certainly won't be doing that. Can you not just say instead of being a twat about it?

How am I being a "twat"? Do you not know of NLA and GH?

If you don't know who it is from the clues on here and the links provided, then you don't know him at all. So stop stressing.

    1) Starting a cryptic thread which gets people interested without giving the name.

    2) Answering people's guesses as if it's some sort of 'who won the World Cup with...' trivia question instead of a pervert charged with sexual assault.

    3) Enjoying the power of knowing something others don't know like a child with a secret that the rest of the class don't know about.

I could go on, or you could just say.

    1) The Daily Mail have run this story for the last couple of days. Nothing cryptic.
    2) No one, I repeat no one in this case has been charged with sexual assault. Pervert? You have made that up.
    3) Power? Oh really? Grow up. You could just actually follow up what I have said but you are too lazy. It is not a household name. I doubt you have ever heard of him. The Mail started it and The Times have finished it. It's all speculation and allegation.

I could go on, but you're not worth it.

Disappointed that a sex Predator wasn't someone you'd hoped.

    What the f*** is this?
It's probably best not to start threads about serious subjects like this at 1am I reckon !

George Riley. Really. I had a Twitter spat with him re cafc after that regime-sycophantic interview with Mark Clemmit. Decided then he was an arrogant tw*t. Still surprised at this but just shows you never know.

Disappointed that the BBC hadn't started a long overdue investigation into one of their employees who has a long history of allegations. It seems that even now some remain untouchable.
  • It’s completely mental that someone can walk around their office putting their hand up skirts. I’ve always worked for law firms so may be that’s why I’ve never heard of complaints like that.

Has anyone else ever heard stories like this in an office environment?

Oh a security guard once got sacked as it was discovered he had drilled a peephole between gents and ladies. Can’t think of anything else in 30 years. Financial wrongdoing yes but not hands up skirts

  • I’ll tell you what, mannish, Steve and Leroy would never get caught doing something like this. Shows the difference between the football league show and football league tonight

On a serious note I find this all proper wrong’un behaviour. I would absolutely hate to have a reputation in the workplace as like a sleaze or someone women think creepy or something.

Surely blokes can read when there is a natural attraction versus being a pervert.
