Don't let them win, go and get pissed with your mates, I will ask you all, the chaps you go with if there wasn't football, would you meet them every two weeks for a beer, if the answer is no, then he wins, fuckin around with the club is bad enough, but fuckin around with friendships and socialising, he ain't takin that away.

I think it's most likely that the number if those paying for 23 games and attending less than 15 will reduce and more fans will go to a match by match basis - I certainly intend to do that.

I have no idea how they will be able to convince people to commit to paying for a whole year upfront again.

I know this will make me unpopular but I was still able, just, to believe that we would make a decent fist of this season and the lower quality opposition would mean more successes on the pitch. I won't believe that again so the only way I'd attend now is if we are challenging andbif by the end of September we are mid table again I can stop going (and paying out) until the team's performances improve - something one can't do once a season ticket has been purchased.

So I do t think it matters what they say as very few will believe it, the only thing that will matter is the price.

For about three years I've considered not buying an ST, this season maybe my last. Personal circumstances, the lack of match day adrenalin and the lure of Dulwich Hamlet which has been more enjoyable. Whether I go through with it or not I don't know yet. If it were not for the fact that I am taking my 80 year old mother in law to Bury next week, I'd go to Hamlet v Macclesfield in the FA Trophy.

Has anything changed since last August that would bring the crowds back and the likes of me purchasing a season ticket again?

Suppose it depends what you go for is it just purely the football or the whole day out experience ? For me it is the latter which includes meeting the the Lib

I agree with you NSS , but I think we're f@cked can't see us getting no more than 5000 s/t holders next season can see a few gates at around 5 thousand.
The atmosphere this season at home has been bad enough.
Talking on the train yesterday even if the club brought all s/t prices down to £175 would we get any more than 10,000.
Quite a few of the 4,000 who didn't renew wouldn't come back for that price or any price.
If they continue to stay things are only going to get worse.
Even if no one went next season would that force him to sell the club.

Nowhere near that, I should think.

The above completely true. Ido not even consider going tomorrow.
The regime, and you have to include the hangers on in the club. Have totally lost it.
The " supporters" have lost interest. What is the point of the club when the main emotion towards it is apathy.
RD must be even more strange than we think. He has a product that he has ruined yet he does nothing about it.
KM and her cohorts are useless and do not even understand the product they have ruined ( sorry I have become the regime by calling the club a product)
If they do not go soon there is going to be nothing left.

    Billericay Dickie bang on.

I had started to miss home games over the last few years due to family commitments and apathy but always renewed my ST. Had one from 1985-2016.

This season I have been to more away games than home, I still enjoy it on the day but I'm not sure now even Roland selling would encourage me to renew as once you are out of the habit of organising your weekend around football it's difficult to get back.

Funnily enough with 3 kids and working in the city midweek games are a lot easier for me to juggle with family life so more likely to be there tomorrow than for the £5 game on Saturday

Agree, I think the only thing that would get fans to come regardless of the Roland/L1 situation would be to literally give season tickets away for free. Even then it might only bump ticket sales back up to Championship levels, 10K ish.

With ticket income being "only" a third of our revenue, and Charlton generally being 1.5% of RD's overall business he could easily afford to offer free tickets.

What was the official number of ST's this season.

There will be another drop but probably only 10%. They will need to price tickets to be virtually free to avoid this.

£175 less my student discount and VG looks like a bargain for hours of disappointment.

First of all I should say that I don't think for one moment that Roland has any intention of selling the club in the near future. When I was working I had a few dealings with some extremely wealthy individuals. The one common denominator amongst these people were they all thought they knew better than anyone else. They made the decisions they wanted to make because they believed that they were always right.

To apply Roland to this scenario I cannot for one moment feel that he is going to be pushed to sell by the antics of couple of thousand South East Londoners throwing plastic pigs and wearing Black & White scarves. OK the boycott and season ticket ban will be hurting him, but the loss of £1 million per year is merely loose change to him.

That said I really worry for the future of our club. In many ways it is starting to look the club it was in the dark days at Selhurst Park. The younger supporters are disapperaing fast, and even the die hard supporters are noticible by the amount of games they now miss.

Tomorrow night against Oxford my wife and myself simply cannot be bothered
To come along. The football is shite, the atmosphere is shite, and attending matches now, is not an enjoyable experience.

I have been attending matches since 1967. I reckon in the last two season I have missed about 15 games, which is probably more than I missed in the 45 years from 1967 - 2012.

When supporters like myself feel like this about the club the rot really has set in.

Perhaps, but he's losing more like £10m a year than £1m. He might avoid a loss in 2016/17 because of Lookman, he might not, but he'll have taken a massive hit in 2015/16, with another one coming down the track in 2017/18. Even RD will be wondering what is the point and what he would have to spend to get the accumulated debt back, even if he knew what he was doing and appointed someone competent to run it.
I know it sounds ridiculous ... however so do many things associated with RD ... but is it feasible that he actually doesn't know how much he's losing?

I would imagine that the staff could be keeping the truth from him but someone, somewhere, must be signing off in transferring that kind of money to Charlton and I'd be surprised if it isn't checked by some auditor.

What if money is transferred between Staprix accounts in some way?

As I said, it sounds ridiculous, but there are so many that would like to keep the truth from him to save their jobs?

Long term effects are what will really hurt the club. There are teenagers who are getting tired of never seeing there team, from what I've seen, if they support Chelsea, Man U etc. Kids are going along to Palace, AFCW and Millwall. I'd be on them to get down to The Valley, but right now that is not going to happen. The atmosphere is shit and the footballs shit. We haven't even hit base level of failure yet.

Just flicked through here and see we have oxford this evening. Since boycotting I don't have s clue what fixtures are coming up. Couldn't tell you who we have this weekend. Roland , this is your fault.
    No season ticket for me.

This is what I've found, although me and close friends still go, one is my helper I'm disabled, over the past few seasons my son and upto half a dozen mates have no interest, my hope is when and if things change he returns to the fold, which I think he will as going to bigger clubs and jumping ship isn't his thing at all.

Just to finish, I used to purchase 4 season tickets down to 1, and spend nothing in the ground (beers and food) these days.

We've still got 9 home games left this season.

    3 x midweek matches
    4x Saturday matches
    1 x Sunday match
    1 x Monday match

Bar the Gillingham match cannot see attendances being above 14k for the rest of the season.

I think it will be the same prices as last season. Cannot see us selling more than 6k season ticket with current circumstances.
