I saw the last FA Cup game that Lincoln lost. At Whitehawk 5-3. They were not happy that day.

Lincoln getting to the 5th round of the FA Cup really is an unexpected consequence of the Brexit vote !

if you don't know, then best not to comment

    Perhaps you can enlighten us.

As an Imps fan for 38 years, I haven't got a clue WTF you're on about.
probably because you're an ignorant twat of a yokel .. I remember getting a 'flag' from you for mentioning Grimsby on another post, you dickhead .. I hope the Imps get hammered in the next round and then go broke .. enjoy ((:>)
You missed out communists and his disabled mum.
I was literally about to make this comparison

My sister, who sadly died in Lincoln the night before the first game of the season, was persuaded to move to Normanby-by-Spital many years ago by her husband.
I know she had misgivings and regrets leaving London, but I have a nephew and nieces in the area and they have made lives for themselves up there.
I wouldn't choose to move to Lincolnshire myself, but apart from being flat and windy and pretty cold it seems fair enough...I always imagine folk there are pretty obsessed with cars and motorbikes which is also fair enough because getting around is a chore.
I have to admit for a rural place I have never had a decent meal in Lincoln or Lincolnshire.
However in London one uses the word 'pleb' don't you know, not 'yokel', I couldn't get used to the manner of speech up there, me duck.

Sutton and Lincoln through to Round 5. First time two non-league teams make it through.

    Since 1925
round 5 in 1925 was the semi final. definitely not 2 non league teams in that

???? .. just reiterating the 'Henry Irving'/Dracula story .. in a Bram Stoker biography it was mentioned that Stoker based the character of Dracula on his contemporary Henry Irving, the ham actor, a man well known for possessing extreme self regard.. interesting that the person on here who has claimed the Irving name for himself has chosen so aptly ..

and as for 'hun' .. do I know you ?

I should have mentioned that I am a vegetarian, not many people on this site know that.
a vast percentage of the nation's vegetables are grown in Lincolnshire .. you could go to most any farm and pick your own ((:>)

The East Europeans can pick them, but can residents of Lincolnshire cook them?

good point and it brings up a whole new topic .. do 'people' still do much cooking ? .. or has microwaving and 'oven heating' become the norm despite the TV overkill of cookery programs and the fact that cookery books by celebrity chefs sell like (or better than) hot cakes ? ..
there are scores of vegetable packing plants/factories up and down Lincolnshire where vegetables and other food of all types are cooked then frozen and/or packed by the ton ..
but I know that is not what you mean .. go back to Lincoln and look around .. Trip Advisor alone recommends 10 veggie restaurants in Lincoln ..

Just looked at the trip advisor list.
Some are closed, some are fancy sandwich places, and of the others that are still open and list a menu, all apart from one seem to have one vegetarian option only and based on that I wouldn't go, indeed one asks you to talk to the staff first like you're an oddity (which in my case is true), none of the trip advisor list is a specialist veggie place.
Now the single option in most places may well be nice, but is it a risk worth taking when the main thrust of all the places listed on the trip advisor list is (understandably) all about meat?
If Lincolnshire has all those lovely fresh vegetables available great, but they seem to take second place to flesh.
I do eat when up there, i don't refuse the food, but I have never had a meal decent enough to make me feel like going back.

You're in the vegetable capital of The UK it's fantastic.....just ask any decent eating establishment (of which there are many),to knock you some up.
