Protest Fund Update October 2016 - Donations top £40,000!

Income
As of this morning, the total amount donated or raised through various channels is £41,107.
This includes the fantastic sums of £5,500 from the sale of the protest shirts, £600 (so far) from the sale of the enamel badges, £1,000 programme sponsorship from Axis and £350 from the summer fund-raising gig . We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to these initiatives.
We are also humbled by and extremely grateful for the many individuals who continue to make regular monthly payments and those who make very generous one-off or occasional contributions.
Expenditure
Expenditure to date is £31,209.
Well, 3,000 little pink pigs don't come cheap you know! Apart from the spend on these, there has been significant expenditure on spoof programmes, placards, posters, helium for the giant inflatable and a host of other things.
Of course, we also have some interesting further protests planned, for which we have committed expenditure included in this total. As always, we keep these under wraps as much as possible, so as to maximise impact on the club and the media.
Balance on hand
The conventional fund raising wisdom is that you don't ever say how much you've already got, just what you need.
We prefer to be totally open and transparent - after all, it's YOUR money that we are talking about here.
So, the uncommitted balance on hand is currently a healthy £9,898.
Sounds great, but that's just about 3 times what we spent on the Coventry shenanigans. So please do keep the contributions rolling in. We promise you that every £1 is appreciated and will be spent carefully and wisely in support of the protests until we rid our great club of the Duchatelet and Meire regime.

Fantastic effort one and all1

Let me get this right. The plan was to raise £5,000. We've spent £31,000. And we've still got £10,000 left.
And Roland's Charlton is losing a million quid a month.
It seems it's not just football that Roland has less competence in than the fans. It's business too.26 -
Such a shame we can't use the word unique any more .... so, this is a very, very special club. Brilliant performance by CARD, and many thanks to the joint treasurers for a totally impressive job.

What I want to know is, when Roland sells, on which brand of champagne will you be spending the remaining balance?6

It's going to be some party, and everyone involved in this will be there!AddicksAddict said:What I want to know is, when Roland sells, on which brand of champagne will you be spending the remaining balance?

Timely reminder, I will be contributing again later today. Dig deep people, we need more and bigger protests....0

And you could add the £2k+ Spell it out raised before the fund got going.
When you read about Coventry fans and how they are struggling to raise any money at all you realise how impressive this is. Despite having problems for longer they don't have the level of organisation or people willing to look after such amounts. I'm sure there are Cov fans willing to donate but no one is doing it as there is no structure.
A credit to everyone involved.
And for the 100th time Tony and Katrien, all that money could and most likely would have been yours. Spent on season tickets, programmes, shirt sponsorship, replica shirts etc etc etc.
But you didn't want our money, our fundraising ability, our networks or commitment.
We're just weird for thinking we has some sort of ownership of our club and no matter how many times you try to pretend that you now understand it you don't and you never will.53 -
Great work, keep it up.
By the way even KM knows pigs don't go cheep.1 -
OK, Ok, OK , I get it. @WSS outed my Valley Gold winnings on Saturday.
Soon as they cough up, it's yours...9 - Sponsored links:

I recently cancelled five Valley Gold direct debits which were next due on 1st November and donated the £50 to Gemma Shepherd's op. However struck lucky at the Coventry Match and won £50 so have passed this on to the protest fund.24

Let's buy a thousand North Korean flags. They cannot take them all off us.....0

Actually, when you win £50 on VG, what does it mean? Cash, or some bloody vouchers to spend in the shop? And if its cash, how do they pay it?0

Just donated. Keep up the good work!3

If they have your bank details - they pay it directly into your bank account. If not, an old fashioned cheque in the post. The daily draw is for £10 vouchers. Hope this hasn't changed because , if so, and the chap who won £5000 in the first match of the season got his in vouchers he won't have been very happyPragueAddick said:Actually, when you win £50 on VG, what does it mean? Last Saturday was amazing. Keep up the good work.
Excellent attention to detail too - the plastic pigs seemed much more aerodynamic than last season's projectiles, enabling my boy to achieve two magnificent landings at least 10 yards into the pitch from row L of the East Stand.8 -
Is the protest fund going to be re-named the piggy bank?16

Thanks Ash, for your generous contribution.AshBurton said:Last Saturday was amazing. Keep up the good work.

There's nothing like a funds update to open the purse strings. £860.00 received in yesterday alone, thank you to each and every one of you. We are not going away.

Just found some pennies down the back of the sofa so passed on to the Protest account.
Thanks as always, Davo & Curb_it.1 -
So CARD can break even but Roland can't. Beating you at your own game Duchatelet. Great work everyone.6
-
At a rough guess the fund has averaged about a grand a week since it started.9

Face paints next ... they can't take them off of you0
