  • What a grade A cnut
  • A message to you Katrien,

    Leave.

    For your sake,

    Leave quick.

  • Just been contemplating a potential starting XI for our opener at Accrington next season. Take your boots just in case. Not so much a catalogue of crimes by that wretched creature, more an encyclopedia.
  • Maybe the 'hopefully' rebuild part is when 'Huh' was over he's told her he's putting no more money in so she'll have to work within whatever turnover there is, therefore we've got bob hope of any rebuild (to any sort of quality).
  • She should be embarrassed by the words that come out of her mouth. They know they are not wanted and what the club means to thousands of people. Prolonging this, now relegation is confirmed, is shameful.
  • Oh dear, how poor can a CEO be. "Come to our restaurant, we aim to give you an average meal and a not great, but an OK, evening out".

Talk about live the dream. Clueless.

But you'd have a unique (meaning weird) customer experience in which you'll be served by {...} promising young waiters who will go on to work at some of the biggest and best restaurants in the country.
  • Top 6 budget. Wow that's ambition.

Well done KM et al for removing all hope before even the end of this season.
  • I loathe her. Not much else to say.
  • She has been misquoted. surely she said "work over" not "work with"?
  • They just don't care. Player farming is the mission statement.
If they think they can quell the protests by suggesting we should have lower expectations then they will be surprised, again. The problem goes far deeper than just losing games or being relegated.
This regime has destroyed the special relationship we have enjoyed with our club in a little over 2 years. If they don't go perhaps we should find out what really matters to them and give them a taste of their own medicine. Who knows, they might finally hear us and either change direction or find an easier club to manipulate.
Standard Leige fans were forced into extreme action before Duchetelet got the message. I hope he learned something from that before he forces the Charlton fans to consider upping their game still further.
  • Whos is this woman shagging to stay in her job! Total incompetence and she is still here. Amazing!
  • She called us fans. Yes, fans. Not customers, hooligans or even Pinocchio-mask wearing twats, she actually referred to us loyal subjects as fans.

  • Just to be absolutely certain, because things can get lost in translation, it was definitely top 6 budget, and not budgie...

Because I, somehow or other, find the latter more believable.

On the one hand, it might well be the case that the only reason it's a "top six budget" is because 90% of it will be going to useless and/or injured players we already have on the books and can't offload to anyone else. (I give you, inter alios, Naby Sarr and Relegation Roger.) Not to mention all the new staff they say they want to recruit: Director of Football, Chief Scout, etc, etc.

It might be true but provide absolutely no money for the desperately needed new blood.

But, on the other hand, as all the other teams would presumably cite "commercial sensitivity" if anyone asked what their budget is, how would she even know?
  • Having a "top 6" budget (undisclosed) doesn't mean a thing if the money is wasted on unfit, useless and inadequate shite; just look at the crap that we've bought in the last couple of years.

Also, given the clubs likely to be in Division Three next season there aren't too many with deep coffers. To be honest CARD would probably have a top 6 budget compared to a lot of these teams.
  • there is NO reason we couldnt have the TOP budget other than the Cult leader. He has the wedge. still trying to show "his" path is the ONLY path

Changed her tune since last week.
"Our sole aim is to be fighting for promotion next season and our top priority is to put together a squad that can help Charlton Athletic get back into the Championship."

Saying the first thing that comes into her head or is it a serious medical condition? Something behavioural there to be so constant.

Perhaps she is just grooming herself for her next big role as a politician in Rolly's failed Party?
  • "HOPEFULLY ON THE BACK OF A SUCCESFUL SEASON WE CAN REBUILD........."
Can somebody please, please .please, for the love of GOD explain to me this rididculous statement?????
Oh, i get it,succesful in terms of the fact that she and RD still have control of everything, nothing whatsoever to do with football, fans, relationships, promotion, stability, jobs, prospects "customer satisfaction"etc etc etc
  • "WE DONT WANT TO BUILD EXPECTATIONS.......". but then, "HOPEFULLY ON THE BACK OF A SUCCESFUL SEASON WE CAN REBUILD"
"To build or not to build, that is the question"
    The answer:"JUST BOG RIGHT OFF"
  • shes a c***
  • Build what exactly?

It is a bit unclear what a successful season would look like as this is not explained or defined (promotion / play offs / mid table / not being relegated to league 2/ Meire staying in her job and having a nice holiday, despite complete failure). Charlton supporters should not have too high expectations so it is impossible to pin down what she means. Not exactly a rallying call to supporters.

How and what rebuilding looks like and what is being rebuilt ( team / support base / Academy / finances / reducing the large club debt to Staprix) is not spelled out either. It does look like one of the positive sounding statements that does not actually mean anything at all.
