Why Is Roland So Rubbish at Appointing Managers?

For a successful business guy this fella has a pretty naff record of appointing managers, you think he'd do his homework, and appoint a British up and coming manager, rather than always try to do things on the cheap, we keep repeating the same mistakes, it makes no sense?

It doesn't take a genius that this hasn't worked out, and structurally player wise we are set up wrong, when will Roland learn?

    It isn't Katrien appointing them, as they all come from Roland's network. Why would Katrien appoint Luzon, she was nothing to do with SL when Guy worked there and was forced out by the fans

    Who can tell! He clearly has a high opinion of himself but actually there is no strategy or grand plan there and he ain't much good at football! Look at the destruction he leaves at his clubs - Standard for a start.

    Arrogant and inept in equal measures.

    Please Roland go and showcase you massive talent in some other industry.......I understand that there's a buck to be made in electronics and Belgium is crying out for someone of you ability to go into politics.

    Why are we so in awe of successful businessmen. Many are complete twa*ts when it comes to football - and in RD's case, you can add politics to that. I look at Donald Trump, and am very much not in awe - the crap he comes out with! His wealth doesn't make it any less so.

    I wonder what went wrong in his mind when he appointed Jose Riga? Anyway he soon put that right by kicking him out in favour of the great Bob Peeeters!

    RD does not want a manager,he wants a coach. A manager,especially one with Championship experience, would know that you cannot succeed with a thin squad and youth players He would have his own preferences over players and coaching staff which would not be in line with RD's view of how to run a football club.
    RD will appoint another yes man and the cycle will continue.
    RD will never admit his approach is wrong,because to do so would mean he was wrong.
    Relegation might even work better for RD as it would reduce the cost of running the club.

    And the plot thickens ,i expect a meeting between RD and the CEO of Charlton to be held in Sint Truden this afternoon prior to this evenings game .Would you credit it Bob Peeters has just been sacked from lockern.

    His appointments have been cheap options allied perhaps to a desire to create a uniform 'network/playing style' across all of his clubs.
    It aint worked and I hope that at last he realises this and takes appropriate action when choosing our next management team

    RD has no understanding of Championship football, nor does his CEO.
    All CAFC supporters knew Luzon would fail, but RD appoints someone for his own reasons, not football ones.
    If the next one is an RD yes man from his network, the club will continue to suffer. By now RD , who we must assume is an intelligent man, must grasp he is getting it wrong.
    Luzon appeared a decent bloke and I feel sorry for him, but he had the wrong players and was given the wrong job.
    RD it matters to us fans- recognise this ( for now anyway) we are in the Championship and act accordingly.

    That's a good question for Katrien Meire. If the strategy for running the club is shown not to run in the championship is Roland happy for Charlton to be relegated and operate in league one ?

    That's a good question for Katrien Meire. If the strategy for running the club is shown not to run in the championship is Roland happy for Charlton to be relegated and operate in league one ?
    A good question but then why sack Luzon? If he's happy for us to be in League One he could have stuck with Luzon and accept a 0-3 defeat every game for the rest of the season.

    This is where an apparent lack of a plan from RD is so evident.
