LOL - best man at my wedding came from a pit village near Hartlepool (Horden, where the beach scene from Get Carter is shot I'm told) but he went to school in Hartlepool. When I first knew him in London we all took the mick by calling him a "monkey hanger" which he thought was very unfair as he said he and all the other pit village kids had spent years teasing the 'Pool kids the the same jibe.
