Monkey Tennis - the Alan Partridge podcast where they dissect every episode of Partridge's career from the very beginnings on radio to his latest books & movies - obsessive detail but also very funny

    What a fantastic concept.

For any Rangers fans on here, Michael Beale interview from last month, just before he left Liverpool to join Gerrard at Rangers, talks about his career at Chelsea with Brendan Rodgers, and a year with São Paulo.
Mentions Charlton, as apparently he played for us at youth level, south London lad.

Just stumbled upon 'Athletico Mince'. Bob Mortimer and the Sunderland guy are great.
Great piece about Steve McLaren's 'hair island'

Beardsley, Gangs of the EPL and the Scottish Tales are some of the funniest things I've heard.

Has anyone been listening to the Australian podcast serial The teacher’s pet? About a woman that went missing and her former rugby league star husband being the main suspect but never been charged. Gripping stuff I think.

I recommend a podcast every week for this gaming website I write for. Pick of the lot is Free to a Good home that has 2 Ozzie comedians go through odd and crazy ads on gum tree and the like:

James O'brien Unfiltered. An excellent series.

On that note what is best way to listen to them on an android smartphone as currently ploughing through them on YouTube via the Joe website?

Are there any decent apps or is iTunes the best option?

I'm halfway through "The RFK Tapes." So far it's a really good look at the assassination of Robert Kennedy, at Sirhan-Sirhan, the LAPD, and some of the people who don't think Sirhan could have been the only shooter.

It's far more true crime podcast than it is conspiracy podcast (though looking at the titles of episodes I haven't listened to yet I think that may change).

I've made no secret of my fascination with the JFK assassination, but if that is, to me, quite a clear cut example of conspiracy, the RFK assassination is...weird. I don't know how else to explain it.

Anyway, the podcast, if you're a true crime person I think you'd really enjoy it. And if you're a conspiracy person I definitely recommend it (along with the documentary from a few years ago called "RFK Must Die").

Google do a podcast app now. Best I've used on Android. Biggest downside of the switch to android was losing the iPhone podcast app.

A very good friend of mine has just started a podcast loosely based around the world of football. Its just him and his mate having a laugh and talking rubbish. Its really funny and worth a listen. Check It out below. The latest one features a well known Charlton story.

    Echo the latter two.

For American politics, Pod Save America and FiveThirtyEight Politics (for you Jimmy).

Anyone else been listening to "The Offensive"?

Its a mockumentary style series following the Premier Leagues only Kent based club Ashwood City FC
Only short, just one 20 minute episode a week. Started in August so there are about 15 episodes so far.
I discovered it today and listened to the first one this morning. A couple of proper laugh out loud moments on my drive to work.

Not sure if its any good long term as I've only heard the first one but maybe worth a listen for a football fan.
