Sounds a nice menu, though a bit expensive. Not that I'll be going.

Maybe that is the price for cash only...

That is a great spot. And as their advert doesn't state that the £28 is not inclusive of VAT, it falls foul of the law regarding clear marketing - see the following link:

    https://gov.uk/marketing-advertising-law/describing-your-product

    "Marketing and Advertising: The Law.

    Describing your product
You must describe your product accurately. This means if you make a claim about your product, you must be able to prove what you say.

    Prices
Your adverts must describe the actual cost accurately, including any ongoing or associated costs (like subscription fees) and taxes (such as VAT).

    Example
A customer pays £50 a product, without being told the price does not include VAT. This was not explained in the advert, so the advert is misleading."

I think a few complaints to the Advertising Standards Agency might be in order here. It's not like it's a really simple easy form to fill out that can be found here...

43 quid for a ticket in the West and a meal and drink isn't too bad. what us it... 25 quid a ticket normally? so 18 quid for the meal and a beer isn't bad

You've forgot the VAT  £48.60... but agree it's not bad value if it's what you want and the foods OK.

    Toss a coin I guess!

You have to add VAT at 20% to those figures. Obviously the price of the pass reduces after each home game. If you feel tempted then wait until the cold months are on us then, at least, you can warm up half-time with the 'free' tea or coffee...

It seems they are discounting the match ticket within the deal to meet DNC’s profit margin - non ST holders buyer buying the hospitality package can buy adult seats for £15, which is not a price available anywhere else in the ground (except the family stand if VAT is added). The club then shows the marginal income from DNC as commercial revenue, instead of ticket income, allowing one part to better meet its budget target at the (partial) expense of another.

The oddity is that it becomes a better deal for non-season ticket holders than for many season-ticket holders, who will already have paid more than £15/£18 for their ticket.

From just £25 per person plus VAT, fans can sample the build-up to the game in the comfort of The Valley’s extremely popular Vista Restaurant where a taste of France will be on offer…
