The new president is the former military dictator .. Buhari, a muslim, was mainly voted in by the constituencies in the predominantly muslim north of the country where boko haram is a very grave danger to lives and peace .. in the prosperous and oil rich south he only got around 5% of the vote .. let's hope that we do not end up with another Biafra war like situation in a 'nation' that is very much divided along religious and tribal affiliations.
This is the very first time that in a democratic election in Nigeria, the opposition has been voted into office over the government in power
