    Great game

    Great goal by Barcelona there.

Don't know what's more amazing, 500 goals for Messi
Or 22 red cards for Ramos!

Biggest game in the league now is Real Madrid v Sevilla in 3 weeks.
Madrid can't afford to lose a game now.

What a game. End to end. Thrilling stuff. They couldn't handle Messi - who can? Ronaldo does seem to crack a bit on the big occasions.

Not sure I agree with that. Heard the commentator say the same thing. Ronaldo has continually produced on the big stage, especially for Madrid. Champions League final goal for Utd as well.

They have a game in hand, against Celta Vigo, who will be focusing on the Europa League more than anything else now, still advantage Real at the moment

    Juventus?

And Ronaldo scored 5 against Bayern this past week.

Did they conveniently forget all the goals against Bayern?!

Thats true. But this game was, for RM, a much bigger game. Just thought he messed up a few times when on another, less pressured, time he probably wouldn't. He is only human I guess.

Champions League Quarter final is bigger than this league game.

And Ronaldo has far more big game goals than just 5 against Bayern, so the talk of him being a choker is nonsense.

Incredible game. Genius from Messi, amazing saves from Navas and what a shock, another red card for Ramos!

    Title race back on.

The guy has 100 goals in the Champions League, the biggest club football competition in the world, featuring the elite teams from across Europe.

How many would he have if he didn't choke on the big stage?!

For Real Madrid and Barcelona - nothing is bigger than this game. And as the La Liga title is at stake it made it even more important. I didn't say he was a "choker" - just that he appeared to miss chances that on another occasion he possibly wouldn't. I don't know -it's not a fact - its my opinion.

Yes, but if they lose to Sevilla and Barca win out then Madrid miss the title.

Like I said, Madrid can't afford to lose a game now.
If Barca win their remaining games then Real can get away with 5 wins and a draw. But no defeats.

Back on again tonight and like last year this one is seen as a 'clasico descafienado' due to the title race being already over at this stage of the season, but there's still something very big at stake: Barcelona are aiming to be the first team since the 1930s to go through the season unbeaten and Real would love to stop that happening.

Atletico's defeat this afternoon to Espanyol means that Real can still finish second but it depends how much of an eye they will have on the Champions League final against Liverpool. Last clasico for the great Andres Iniesta as well so hoping that despite the league already being Barcelona's that it's a good game tonight.

Still think respect is a big thing in football and Real refusing to give the Guard of honour is very poor

Agree but they are not doing it as Barca previously didn't do it for them.

Was that not the club world championship tho.

Not really the same is it a competition where they played 2 matches against teams they were massively odds on to win.

Its like the winners of The Emirates Cup wanting a guard of honour lol

It was the big controversy here which has resulted in them not doing it for Barca though. Personally think they are as pathetic as each other for not doing it although Barcelona do thrive on a victim mentality here that makes Liverpool seem thick skinned.

Ray Hudson on commentary is something else.

Bale scores and Hudson screams “he’s got the chromosomes of a Bengal tiger”

    What. The. Fuck.

Sounds like something Sid Waddell would come out with...

    Remember that.

Describing Messi as “a silicon chip with legs and covered with eyes” is a personal favourite

El clásico tonight. Both teams in decent form now and closing in on leaders Atlético, who seem to be throwing away their lead with some poor recent results. Anyone watching it and any predictions/thoughts? I'll be hoping for a draw.
