Games being called off tonight

This weather is just awful

Anyone else think our game has a element of doubt?

Good test for our new pitch however

  • It's not expected to effect the south east as much as the rest of the country.
  • Currently a nice sunny day, but we rarely have anything else in Sunny Sidcup :-)

Can't see there being enough impact locally tbh even if it turned for the worse
  • nah will be fine, maybe a bit windy
  • The scoreboard is hanging off, so kick off may be delayed.........

As long as we can still see the opposition score we should be fine ;-(

Who said they are going to score?

No one - the score can still be nil and be a "score".

But, as we haven't scored more than a goal in a game since August, it might not be too difficult to predict what our number of goals is likely to be. Having said that, we haven't let in more than a goal in that time either!

So, on the basis of probability, tonight's score will be one from 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 or 1-1. On that basis we could just have a smaller version of the board with a tick box by it to indicate, at any given time, what the score is.
  • We should rename ourself "Binary Athletic".
  • Mmmm, it appears to have gone binary since I took a fellow software engineer to a match. Sorry guys.

He may be coming to Fulham away if you want to give that one a miss too.

  • If tonight's game is called off, I hope fans get wind of it before they set off.
  • I have revised my previous prediction of us being rinsed tonight to us just being plain gubbed!
  • A woman has died from a fallen tree in Knightsbridge.

Yes, just down the road from where I work, very sad. And a man injured by a fallen tree in Belgravia.

Nasty outside, a couple of trees down near the Valley and the police may call the game off.
  • Really?! I've just arrived at work in Waterloo, and short of a few blown leaves I was just thinking how unaffected London is. Even the trains were working.

That's awful about the woman in Knightsbridge though. Stay safe everyone.
  • Im in Covent Garden and its not that windy at all.
  • Very windy in Camberwell but nothing that could call a game off I reckon.

There is a full programme of football league fixtures to-night (36 matches) and as yet none have been called off.

  • Windy as chuff in Westminster
  • Think we should throw caution to the wind and play whatever.
As long as BDL doesn't play that Dylan track, we should be fine.

Weather forecast is for it to get windier this evening in London.
  • Bright and breezy in Bexley.

The Hampton Court line is currently blocked by a fallen tree.

    The problem is the gustiness.

Not according to the Met Office.
They say winds should ease gradually through the evening.

  • If it is blowing a gale then play Bikey up front and pump everything up to him:).
  • Weather's fine here ;)
