Summary
For the second time this season The Valley struggled to absorb the rain that had fallen in the build up to the game. Whereas before Charlton were thankful of the early abandonment, this time the gods were less kind as the match managed to last to the conclusion. And no one was more thankful the Leeds potent striker Ross McCormack.
Charlton did not play badly, and we unlucky to come away with nothing from the game. But ruthless McCormack proved to be the difference between the two sides and brought the seven-hour run without conceding a goal to a stunning end by bagging all four goals. A stunning strike from loanee Cameron Stewart, and good work from Church for Jackon's tap in were the Charlton highlights, but this failed to be anything but a wet dream.
