  • 5 out of 5 for stories on the right, impressive. Hard hitting, relevant and in no way hypocritical.
  • haha superb.
  • Why is it every piece of government legislation on the internet seems to be written by people who have never been on the internet? You can already put parental filters via your ISP. I thought when labour went out of office we'd come to the end of the government encouraging parents to take zero responsibility for their children.
  • Nice bit of censorship from the government here...would be interesting to see what the legislation actually says and whether they try to sneak in blocks for other websites.

Children can just watch tv or listen to music and get bombarded with sexual innuendo. It's pointless blocking it, just means millions of teenagers will be more moody than normal!
  • The Australian government tried this and had to abandon it, it's completely impossible to do and is done simply to garner headlines from newspapers.

Anyone with a brain knows that the paedophile scum don't go round sharing stuff on open sites, it's all done on private networks which would be impossible to close down completely.

The Internet is what it is, it enables some amazing things and some appalling things, we just have to accept that and not be taken in by fucktard politicians trying to "protect" us from it.

    exactly
  • The Chloe Moretz story at the bottom of the 'navigation of shame' is quite disturbing.
  • And some people wonder why the Daily Mail comes in for a hard time on this site. I just can't articulate how much I hate that paper and all it stands for
  • The BBC headline states: "Cameron unveils online porn curbs".

Now I like Curbs a lot but that's not my cuppa.

Me too. It's disgusting and an embarrassment to journalism in this country.

TBH it has a lot of competition in this country
  • Horay for the moral crusader that is The Gaurdian (sorry can i say crusader?)
  • That's brilliant. This is the same Daily Mail that is opposed to press censorship.
  • The hypocrisy of newspapers in this country is breath taking. Good spot JT!
  • Thank feck for our media though. Without it I would not have a first clue what happens in a hospital when a baby is delivered, thankyou thankyou, thankyou!

Indeed! Embarrassing journalism here takes some doing, given what our tabloids get up to.

Looks like it's back to the bra section of the Freemans catalogue then!
  • Always get nostalgic when I see one of those laying around. With five boys in the house I am surprised mum managed to order anything, the book went missing so often...
  • I have no idea what you're talking about **cough**
  • without wanting to undermine my own moral outrage, there was an element of achievement after finding a mag in a bush. A couple of clicks offers only a fraction of the satisfaction.

A mag in a bush or a bush in a mag?
  • A bush in a mag in a bush. This was the 80s when bushes still existed.
  • Haven't read the thread but not surprised. Dirty bastard.

    Haha.
  • Would love to see conversations between teenagers and parents trying to get the parents to opt-in....

'I need it for a forum I go on, honest!'

Not just teenagers and parents mate!

    This.

  • Maybe this will spell the end of "Whose Rack?", thus making Big_Rob redundent, adding to the unemployment statistics. Well done Mr Cameron, I hope you're happy now..............................sob
  • B Rob has already resigned his position. Mr Absurd has taken over the mantle in a caretaker position.

I for one will defend to the death as a frustrated middle aged sex starved pervert the "Whose Rack? and "Would Ya?" threads on CL.
