I hope not! Ithink he is great manager.

  • His odds are going shorter for next Nigel boss.
  • Seems crazy, why leave Blackpool for Palace, backwards step.
  • Think he's not happy with his contract situation at Blackpool
  • from the soundbites from their chairman, it's definately clear they are after someone currently in work.
  • Surely Ipswich would be better.
  • Maybe Ipswich?
  • always thought he was mad but to move from a beach resort in the UK to Croydon would be sheer lunacy.

    You mean Surrey.
  • Strange one - even if he's not happy at Blackpool, he can do a pot better than Palace.

    QPR?

  • London Borough of Croydon?
  • be good to hear what he makes of 'the ultras' if turns up there.
  • Quick send him a link to the Ultra site, that'll put the bugger off Palarse ! (hide the cheerleader stuff BTW...)

Too good a manager for that stripey shite
  • Think he's overhyped personally

    Someone knows geography at least.
  • Just got in and seen this thread, is it going to happen?

Depends if the chairman directs Holloway to Surrey or London.

Agree, seems a decent bloke but amazing how people are easily convinced by someone who gives good soundbites. The calls for him to take over as England boss were hilarious.
  • Apparently he has only just re-located his wife and kids to the north-west so seems very unlikely he will go to London, he seems to be settled in the north-west and if he does leave Blackpool then there are plenty of clubs up there who'll take him.
  • Has anyone seen that programme 999 what's your emergency its all set in blackpool a right load of fruitcakes up there! A bloke on there last night an alcoholic, has been taken to a&e 52 times this year and claims to have been an ex pro footballer and one of the ambulancemen googled him and he used to play for Leeds apparently!

Ian Holloway, Michael Appleton and Karl Robinson are all now 3-1 JF for the next Palace permanent Manager.
  • As if I needed a reason to hate Robinson already. They probably deserve eachother to be honest, both mouthy 2 bob twats.
  • Unless Holloway is about to get the sack why would he go to palace, a club struggling for funding, whilst Blackpool still have two years of parachute money. I would have thought Holloways next move would be to a Wigan or Swansea.

He's had an inconsistent managerial career, doing well at Plymouth before being poached by Leicester, where he was a disaster. The grass over the hill isn't always greener.

Someone like Appleton is entirely different, any half solvent club would be a massive improvement over managing Pompey... similarly, Palace are a step up from Franchise FC.
  • Holloway fav to be next Blackburn Manager
  • Blackpool have shot their bolt it seems, going backwards, Palace are on the upward path .. it makes sense for Holloway to be interested.
  • Disagree completely, Lincs.
  • Hollaway has coem out and said after what he did to Plymouth leaving mid contract he would never ever do again, lets see if he is true to his word.
