Looks like quite a few of those will be broken,,,,,,,,,,and out of them I'd say the most league wins, the most away wins, least league defeats& least goals conceeded are almost certainties. Not sure about home wins as I don't think we will win 10 out of the remaining 11 and certainly wont beat the biggest goal difference or most goals scored in a season.

what do the rest of you think ?

Those stats really do show what a good first half of the season this has been.

Thanks shirty, been thinking about this season statistically against previous successful season, just been waiting for someone else to do the hard work.

What was the 34/35 season like soundas?

Away form this season has been unreal. You feel that will be broken comfortably
  • Options
Also the defensive record is incredible

Looking at those stats, seems the Second World War really screwed us over as a club. Does anyone else think if it wasn't for Hitler, there would be thousands of people claiming to support Charlton even though they have lived in Manchester all their life? And millions of people in the Far East would ask you if you were English, and then automatically assume you were a Charlton fan?

Possibly but the lack of foresight by the Gliksteins did for us.

Amazing that the 26 league wins in 97/98 didn't get us automatic promotion. Thought Deono broke the clean sheet record in 99/00? Maybe that included cup games.......I remember him celebrating after the 1-0 away win v Palace.

Don't like to count chickens etc, but think that away record should go for sure.

A great season so far but to put this year into true context it should only be compared with our other seasons in league 1 (division 3).

It is true about WWII doing Charlton some damage, but my grandparents met during the war, if it wasn't for the war a lot of us wouldn't be here. Not saying it was a good thing of course, but if it didn't happen, Charlton may have been the equivalent of Man Utd but none of us would have existed to enjoy it!!!!!

Thanks Shirty for the work. This really does put this season's success to date in perspective. Still a long way to go but I still feel the title is ours if CP keeps the team focussed. Fewest away defeats, most away victories and fewest goals conceded are the most likely. It may be tempting fate but I want us to go up in style and not stumble over the line as we did the last time.

Shirty it will be interesting to see what records ( if any) people think we will break, c'mon guys take the splinters out of your bum, stop sitting on the fence and have a go! ;-0

The last time we were 15 points clear of citeh & playing with the style of the premiership team that we really were.............until curbs almost annual collapse saw us creep over the line by 2 points. Great season but disappointing end.
  • Options
I think if we can keep 20 + clean sheets a lot of the records will go.

I have been using that one for ages. As if there were not enough reasons to hate Hitler...

    Great Stats Shirty,

I might "borrow" them if that is OK

Can this be made into an announcement each time we break one of them?

    Fantastic stats.
Fantastic first half of the season.
I really feel at times like the team we have at the moment is better than the team we had when we were in the Championship.

what about home attendences for this league (div.3)... could we brake our overall attendance record and maybe even the record attendance for just one match in div.3 also?

    just wondering like!

Although we've only done two at the moment, it's possible that we could do the double over 15 teams this season. I reckon anything over 10 would be a brilliant achievement. I don't know what the record is though.

Another step closer to the away wins and clean sheet records

I think I'm right in saying that we've never gone a league season unbeaten at home. Would love it, LOVE IT if we did that!!!

Our away form - or at least our results - have been ok this season. I suspect we are in with a fighting chance.

Incidentally that makes 2 doubles so far.

Not sure about the whole season, but I heard that Ralph Milne had four before a game once.

Three, isn't it?: Brentford, Sheffield Utd, Exeter.
