Danish Addicks

Anybody here from Denmark? Got a vague recollection that at least one poster is - I'm in Copenhagen for the next three nights - owt worth seeing/doing here in the evenings? (Too busy to do anything during the daytime and want something to keep me from spending all night in the casino that is (conveniently) attached to my hotel)...

Cheers, in advance!

Danepak used to post on Netaddicks..I think he's posted on here but I've not seen anything from him for yonks.

If anyone is ever in Copenhagen you'll be sure to come across him at sometime or another.............he's that big he blocks out the sun!

Wait a minute, on reflection I think he did move back to Denmark for a while but now lives in OZ.

    Where abouts you staying Leroy?

During the day I strongly advise you do the boat trip which takes you around Copenhagen starting from Nyhavn. Unless you want to waste your money don't do Tivioli Gardens as they charge something like £3 per ride and you don't really get much time but they do open at night so I am not sure what they do during the night but it might be worth a visit.

We did not really spend much time during the night apart from walking around the big river front and attend a few nice Restaurants but I know they have some good nightclubs.

I've got a mate over there and I've been a few times.  What are your interests Leroy - clubs, culture, restaurants?

I liked Freetown Crisitania a kind of hippy commune that has bars, herb traders and even a club I think.  Kind of unique. There's a lot of great bars and good food - there's Noma of course, though never been.  The mermaid is very disappointing, and I thought the Tivoli gardens were a bit meh as well.

I visited Cristania whilst there, can't say I can remember recommend what else there is to do ;-)

I did go to see FC Copenhagen v Marseille, fantastic atmosphere and very friendly fans. Would recommend if anyone is there to try and catch a game if any are on.

I used to have a GF in Copenhagen many moons ago. Got to know the place quite well back then - used to go to watch Brondby FC with the GF's cousin.

Nyhavn at night was the place to be seen and chill out by the waterfront.
Louisiana or whatever it's called ......fabulous array of art & paintings in the galleries set in the middle of a beautiful park.
Tivoli Gardens was fine at night just to stroll about, although the GF liked going on the scenic railway.

Tuborg brewery was interesting, red lager and all that.
Christiana for the hippy dippy alternative way of living and smoking.

Best bit was at the Frederiksberg Park - nice sunny summer's day, all the office totty stripped topless to top up their suntan during their lunchbreak!

Made 4500 kroner off drunken yanks at cards last night. Good job I did as well, just got back from three hours in the town - 2000 kroner lighter than I went out. Christ it's expensive here!
